Trade for Linlholm! CBJ has better pieces for him then Boston or Washington.
McKown, Rozlovic and a '25 1st.
or Sillinger, Rozlovic and a '26 2nd

Zak MacMillan: Patrik Laine - Number One Center?

It changes the dynamic, like I might of said a while back, Kent Johnson didn't look out of place in between Gaudreau and Laine. I get it Beniers was favored over him at Michigan but it's not as if he doesn't have those tools before hand to play the position.

Part-time Laine is not a C.

On one hand, no team with Johnson, Fantilli, and Sillinger on ELCs, and with Jenner and Roslovic as proven options, should be trying to move any lifetime winger to the middle.

On the other hand, I love the idea. Laine isn’t a fast skater in the sense that his acceleration is cheeks, but his top speed is pretty good.
He has trouble with stop start hockey.

Putting him in the middle of the ice could solve a-lot of problems if the effort and ability is there on the defensive side. It’s usually best to have your slowest guy in the middle. Forcing him to have his feet moving at all times, while having a lot of space to maneuver without getting his condor arms jammed up along the walls… it could be a perfect storm?

Lindholm for Sillinger and 1st.
Johnny would be very happy to get his center back.

Surprised Columbus didn't pounce on Hayes at half salary retained He would have filled the spot for the next 3 years while the kids come up.
