It's awfully quiet in Leafland! Curious as to what's going on behind the scenes. Is Treliving working in getting Matthews and Nylander signed while tinkering around the edges to become cap compliant, or is he working on a big deal to reshape the roster and reallocate assets from the loaded forward ranks to bolster the defence?

Wasnt it supposed to be terrible drama without Matthews and Nylander signed early?

Does he have the cojones and the backing of management to dramatically reshape this roster?

I can't make up my mind which scenario plays out.

He will make a big blockbuster deal that sends out a hard to sign pending free agent and fails to sign their biggest star after an early playoff exit in 2024. The Leafs take a step back and miss the playoffs with their revamped roster and the Leafs and Treliving agree to mutually part ways.
