Peeke is a good stay at home physical shot blocking RD so that would be a good swing there for the Buds.
Just concerned with who plays with 44 of Brodie goes. He has shown he can do it and for the staff putting pairs together that matters a lot. Last season was a strange year to judge Leafs dmen too harsh. Injuries and shuffling caused some to elevate but some to play scattered d.
I still feel a dman from Isles or Calgary would be ideal for the Leafs.
Probably not the most popular scenario on here (given past responses) but swinging a deal with Caps for TVR & Mantha ($ retained) wouod be fantastic. Leafs get their physicality up front and a solid dman plays on the right

My point was - TVR/Peeke are better in my opinion than a 60yr old Gio, Timmins, and Lily. I like the physicality of gio and he was a beast for his career and on the cap he’s at is amazing but I’m not talking cash that’s a GMs job. I’m talking about the actual ability. Both Peeke and TVR are better dmen.
Timmins is a good long shot to acquire and I thought he was a good move by Dubas. But that he will live up to his potential is a maybe. I would much rather have either one than Timmins, Gio, Lily.

Both Peeke/TVR are reliable in tue defensive end, block shots, Peeke is physical, TVR more than Lily and Timmins, and both good pk dmen. That’s what Leafs need to me. TVR can also play both sides.

End of the day though man who knows - maybe Tree will throw up if someone mentions their names as well.
