So sounds like an offensive free-for-all, backcheck if you kind of feel like it, maybe?

Oh boy...

Let us see what these kids can do...

bah, in a tournament like this it kinda makes sense to be more offensive-minded. I'd rather see the kids trying to score goals than defend.

Personally, I hate the rookie tournament.

Sure, it's fun to watch our young players play, but there's always that (frank)in no-name/no-future tough guy that is invited by a team on the ice that's only trying to hurt other players.

If we get out of this with none of our guys severely injured, I'll be glad.

that's what our 4th line will be out there for, to injure and destroy the opposition.

Davidson isn't that kind of guy.

But Parker-Jones, what a monster. Paired up with Mini-Xhekaj....

Feels like we got these guys in the lineup:

If Florian is not as good as Arber, do we call him Dial up? What if he is better, do we go with 5G?

I don't think the youths will know what a "dial-up modem" is...

Eminen is who most people are curious to watch, he is expected to challenge Ylonen for a spot.

absolutely, I see him in the race for the #2LW spot. he's ahead of Ylonen (who is a RW) imo. Ylonen is there too push Armia out.

Mailloux is the guy I am curious to see. I know Eminen is very close to the NHL, played in the AHL at the end of season, was good, he is almost 22, he should be ready to challenge for a spot. Mailloux is 20, just coming our of Jrs where he barely played the past 2yrs yet he is expected to be the D closest to the NHL, curious to see that.

weren't those just Bouillon's comments, or is that a general consensus from the habs?

Mailloux needs mileage. only played 12 games a year ago. you'll be able to watch him in Laval. but him and Reinbacher, with Guhle and Matheson on the other side.... that looks pretty darn good

that's not exactly what Bouillon said. he said that he has all the tools to become a NHL player and will probably succeed, but he also said that he needs to play in Laval.

makes sense. it isn't because he's the closest that he's actually ready.

offensively he is expected to be mature but he needs mileage in the D zone, we will see how he does at the rookie and main camp this year but yes he is expected to go to Laval for most of the season and could be called up when injuries pill up

I agree, just curious how far his is in his development.

For Eminen, he is does not have to clear waiver, he will need to be amazing to force the Habs to put Ylonen on waiver to go to Laval.

It might happen during the season.

Can't see anyone picking him up though.
