Flyers played OK last night given the lineup they put out there. Both goalies played well and I was happy with the late offensive surge with the goalie pulled. I liked that Attard was jumping into the play offensively but he needs to finish off some plays, otherwise he will be no better than Sanheim. I also did not like the PPs. I know the Flyers didn't have their most skilled players out there, but at least play the PP the right way. Have clean zone entries, do not over-pass, and shoot the puck! I can't imagine the Flyers are not emphasizing these things this season. Otherwise it will be another season with a last place PP and that would stink given I think the Flyers have some good offensive players they can send out there. |

I posted it yesterday. He worked out in the gym at the FTC, did not skate. We'll see what happens at practice today. |

If Attard turns into Sanheim then they flyers did well.
They will not live with the mistakes Attard will end up making. Instead of playing to his strengths they will just keep him in LHV. Let him learn on the 3rd pair with a vet. This is what a rebuilding team is supposed to do no?

Whatever happened to Valeri Camillo? She hired Keith Jones and then disappeared off of the face of the earth.
We were told we would eventually be told why the sudden resignation from the heavily promoted, highly visible leadership group that had only been in place for a few months and the speculation was that we'd find out in July but it is now a few days until October. |

They'd like for him to play in the Phantoms' top six and see from there. |

Is the IIHF as toothless as it looks? Fining the team $5000+ for every game Fedotov plays? How do they expect to get that money? And it seems like Fedotov is the only one who MAY actually be affected by the time this is all over. He wont be allowed to play in international competition if Russia is ever allowed back in. But really, what can the IIHF do the the KHL other than huff and puff? |

Other then banning Russia from international competition, there is nothing the IIHF can do. Putin just laughs at them, assuming he even bothers to think about them at all. |

Nothing. Their jurisdiction is over international play. If a national organization wants to take their ball and go home, the IIHF can't do a thing about it.
When Russia wants to rejoin everyone else, things will be forgiven or waived because the IIHF wants the Russian players.

I am starting to get a bad feeling about Michov coming over to NA to play. Russia has no regard for rules, contracts, etc. We better start planning for some sort of top secret extraction to get him out of the country. It doesn't look good in this current climate.
I realize they have allowed others to come over, but this kid is a highly touted prospect and the political climate is different.
I pray I'm wrong (again). |

In 3 years the war could be over, Putin could be dead (currently 71) and Russia could be everyone's female dog. Why worry about things you cannot control.

Regarding Michkov and Fedotov, the only similarity between the two situations is that they are both Russian.
One guy tried to skip out on his military obligation using forged papers and got caught.
One guy literally plays for a team sponsored by the Russian army. (see previous sentence)
One guy had a contract that technically expired and signed a new contract with his team in Russia after that.
One guy is 27 and pretty much past his window to play in the NHL.
None of these guys are Michkov. |

Yes. And having reading Fedotov's latest interviews, he accepted his fate (at least publicly).
Also, looks like Flyers have moved on as well. |

I fell asleep before the third but I was really happy with Cates and Laughton. They Forchecked well. Pretty good possession. They set up the kid wearing 56 a couple times who couldn’t finish. I was also happy with Hathaway who skates like a kid. A lot of energy from him. Kept ND off the PK if I’m not mistaken. |

Otherwise he will be no better than Sanheim. That is absolutely hysterical. So funny.

(Seriously tho, it's the Flyers... Michkov will probably bust out one way or another. Maybe it's better for him to stay in Russia lol. Stay far away from this mess.) |
