The logjam at forward sucks a bit. Kartye has more than earned a spot, far more Id say than Yamamoto. Sure couple lucky bounce PPG but Kartye had been a major player in driving the play and really standing out in camp. Lind I can see being in there. Feel bad for Shore. He'd be a decent 4C honestly and has been good so far too. Just too many forwards signed and not a lot of wiggle room.
Agree on Dreidger. Can definitely see the lightning having interest. Solid cheap options with some experience likely on waivers are him and Leafs Jones unless T.O. Does send Woll down. A Vas/Dreidger tandem wouldnt be bad for them.
If Wennberg doesnt pick it up and win faceoffs kind of almost want to go with Shore on 4C and move Gourde and Bellemare up a line myself.
On a plus note hell of a lot of depth and options!
And welcome back Sean!!

Was at the game last night. Seattle looked crisper with their passing and decision making. The Canucks looked flat most of the game aside from Demko. The Kraken fans I sat beside thought the backup job was Daccord's. He played the 3rd and Grubauer got the 1st and 2nd. Not a lot of work for either.
Overall, great rink with a great fanbase. Really enjoyed myself. |

Thanks Sean, Iām sticking with my Kartye for the Calder riding shotgun with McCann and Beniers.
I wonder if they offered Driedger with $1.1 (or whatever the minors exemption amount is) retained if that would be enough to entice a team to trade an actual asset.
Or they can put him on waivers and see if he gets claimed. |

Wright is ready. Stop this developement hindering process and get him playing top six minutes in the NHL because he's more talented than half the top six stiffs indicated above. |

His development isnt hindered. He was granted the exception to play in the AHL this season. If he was a winger could see him sticking but he is a center and needs to log a lot of minutes and develop more and round out his game. He had a good game vs Vancouver but vs Calgary was just there and didnt really do a lot or stand out. He needs to improve more on faceoffs too. A full Coachella season should have him stepping right in next season when both Bellemare and Wennberg are ufa. |

Kraken VS Oilers. This should be a VERY interesting game to watch. Pre Season but likely give some insight as to how they will match up regular season in the all important divisional matchups. |

4-1 loss
For the love of god stop letting Wennberg take faceoffs. 2/10 is bloody awful from our 2nd line center. Wright was even 4/9. C'mon!!! |

Yeah they hung in there. Campbell showed up for once and Gru didn't have his best game either, nor did the rest of them. Lost WAY too many faceoffs and starting without the puck. Can't give them powerplays either. Just stuff to clean up.
I'm really not sold on all this Yamamoto hype either. 3 goals all picking up the garbage/lucky bounce right place right time on the powerplay. I'd prefer Kartye over him, brings more to the game honestly. At this point I would keep Wright at center, and go with Kartye and Lind and try to move Wennberg and Yamamoto.
Going to be a good run up to regular season though. See how we do down the stretch to start of the season. |

We have the Canucks on tap tonight. In Abbotsford, but looks like the Nucks are going to stream the game šš
Dunn was on the ice for practice which is a good sign.
Looks like it is crunch time according to Hak for Evans, Wright, and Kartye. Still think Wennberg losing almost every faceoff and Yamamoto only netting a few lucky powerplay goals, Kartye and Wright would be better in their place. With the experience we already have on the back end maybe Shultz out for Evans is t such a bad idea either.
Word out there team is already talking to Beniers on a deal be it bridge or longer like a 5 year. š. Also apparently talking to Eberle. Not sure given the push by Kartye, Lind etc I wouldnt save the cap space and let the younger guys start to come in more. |

The Seattle Kraken waived 10 players in Connor Carrick, Cameron Hughes, Kole Lind, Max McCormick, Gustav Olofsson, Andrew Poturalski, Mitch Reinke, Jimmy Schuldt, Devin Shore and Marian Studenic.
All cleared
Thought Lind had a good chance to stick
Lets see how we fare against the Oil again tonight |
