Good stuff, K. Totally agree re: Lidstrom, if he's claimed, it's no real harm to our plans. As for the 3 goalie issue? I'd waive Allen, myself. Primeau will be claimed on cheap contact and potential, Allen won't. Is it the nice thing? No, but it's the safest play. If he gets claimed, then it's a chunk off our cap.

Not in the habs model, everything was already fixed because of the contracts, there was never any battle or opportunity

I think Primeau goes to Laval, but they will wait to cut him until a glut go goalies are put on waivers.

If he passes, good.

If not, oh well. Good luck elsewhere, kid.

I agree with your d-corps.

I've been saying for months that the bottom 3 should rotate 4 guys, each getting about 60 or so games worth (some more, some less, based on play).

Harris, Xhekaj, Kovacevic, and now Norlinder (instead of Barron) can rotate in and out.

I think Armia gets waived.

Money means nothing to the Habs, really.

Or cap space, tbh, right now. But waiving Armia (assuming he does not get claimed) saves tham about $1M in cap over the full season to use at the trade deadline helping out other teams facilitate trades for pick and / or prospects.

Even with that there was never a real chance for one of the kids at camp.

Which I don't have a problem with the CBA is built to cause this.

either they send to Laval those who do not have to go through waivers (Slaf, Heineman, Barron, Wifi, Harris, Norlinder...)
or they'll have to waive a few guys (Primeau, Pezzetta, Pearson, Armia, Ylonen, Lindstrom...)
they need to send 5 guys to Laval if I'm not mistaken

If your 1st overall pick is in the AHL in their second year, you're in trouble. There's no way he doesn't make the team.

last week was cool, then this weeks been in the 80s but it looks like all 70s starting friday.

this will be much easier on the man who sits in his van outside in the apartment complex parking lot all day every day. so at least i won't have to worry about finding that guy dead when i come home from work anymore.

old black dude with a magnificent, snow white afro. not sure what the deal is but he sits in a tan van all day. he goes somewhere at night (i'm guessing into one of these apartments) but he sits in that van all day for some reason. i'd come home for lunch and it'd be 98 degrees and he'd be sitting in the van, windows down, one door open with his foot sticking out. that's van man!
