I still have high hopes but Adams hasn't made any difficult decisions in the last two years. He hasn't done anything with the goaltending other than pin his hopes on a 21 year old and he's terrified of losing UPL. He brought back Okposo and Girgs he traded for Riley Stillman because he's his buddy's son. I don't mind the Greenway move but of course USNDTP. Decided on washed up Erik Johnson because he's friends with Okposo and USNDTP Clifton. They don't really move the needle. He never trades any first round picks to get better now (even though I guess no GM does anymore)
the only prospect he's ever dealt is Bloom.
Olofsson is still here, Jokiharju has no business as a top 4 but he still is.
At some point especially if this doesn't work out here you have to do something bold. I don't care how much people want to be here or like each other.

I'm not a Darcy apologist but moving Warrener for Drury was probably tough but the team didn't take the next step until he did.

There has been continued talk about building things properly for what they called sustained success, but they haven't had success yet to worry about it being sustained.

Donnie said he'll plan to have them play their A-game in 15 -20 games.

Maybe paying fans should ask for a refund for the home games during that time.

Lyubushkin is a decent 3rd PIr Dman. He had a rough start to his time in Buffalo by virtue of injuring his foot early in the season and it took until well into January before he started to play his normal game. Since then, he played pretty well.
Bryson fits the desired style the Sabres want, but his execution absolutely blew last year. I don't have faith in him at all. Being scratched in gm one doesn't exactly scream trust from the coaching staff either

This all comes down to coaching. I know we can all blame Adams for not spending to get a top 6 winger, top 4 defensemen, top goalie to ease Levi in, but after the length of time it took to sign Dahlin and Power and the return they both got, I’d say his hands were tied.

Opening night, at home, is not on the GM, it’s in the coach.

Donny is a youth development manager, not an NHL coach. Period. I’ve said this may times.
PL had the Rangers hungry, ready to play.
I didn’t see the post game presser from Donny, but I can imagine it was more of the same BS.
If this guy can’t ignite this group of talent, he’s got to go. If we aren’t 3-4 games over 500 15-20 in, he’s gotta go.
