tks Karine,
yep, play with fire...
they'll need a lot more from many different players. Newhook, Slaf, Anderson... they all look like 3rd line players so far. Anderson works hard, has man chances... but the other 2. aie aie aie

You could tell they were gonna lose in the after the first half. They didn't have that intensity, that jump, that they had in previous games. The Yotes were outworking them all night.

Losing RHP will provoke change and I god damn hope it just doesn't end with Anderson back with Caufield and Suzuki because... IT. DOESN'T. WORK. (And Remove him for the first pp wave as well).

The 2nd line had it's worst game of the season (which is telling considering how mediocre they've been) and I feel it's time to try something new.

I've been very supportive of the idea of Slaf staying in Montreal because he looked involved in the play and I saw progress in his game.

The last 2 games, he's looked completely out of his depth, if that doesn't change (and soon) sending him down might be the way.

A bump in the road for the #Optobus but we need to get back on track!

agreed on all counts your honor.
with the return of Dvorak, RHP was probably going to be on the 4th anyway.
time to try Yoel with the dynamic duo!

lets say they lose RHP for a while and they send Slaf down in Laval, what would be your top 6?

After the Octocup run, maybe time for a tune up.

Oil change, new plugs and filters, etc..

Though to say because that implies we'd call guys up (which we might anyway with the RHP injury).

Feels like they want Roy to mature down in the AHL so despite liking his game alot, maybe Lias Andersson will be the one getting the call.

is mr Emile still injured or is he playing in Laval?

Armia is not a first line player or top 6 material

I would rather go Ylonen or Newhook there

Monsieur Emile is still out, pretty sure he would have been called up already otherwise.

I agree that I'd try Ylonen before Armia. Hell, I'd try Ylonen on the powerplay instead of Anderson if we're desperate for a right shot.

Heineman still injured.
of course Armia is not a first line player, but what better way to up his value and maybe receive an offer?

there is no point putting him in a position where he will fail. That would also hurt the team and wont do what you would want anyway

if he can do anything good as a bottom 6 player, thats all you can ask for

I can see them trying Pearson on the top line, at least short term

CC-Suzuki-Pearson
Anderson/Newhook- Money Hands - Slaf
Anderson/Newhook - Dvorak - Gallagher
RHP - Evans - Yolo/Pezz

that Newhook kid better take a major step in his game if he wants a better contract next time around. still early, 10 games in, but can't say I'm impressed.

Meh.

I am not worried.

He should not be playing center right now, needs to find his overall game, then they can try at center. Dach went through the same thing last year, playing on the wing and the focus on working the small things in his game let him improve significantly.

Asking Newhook to not only get his game going, replace Dach, while also trying to get Slaf (and the second line offence) going might be a little much all at once.

while all of that is true, I just don't see enough skills to be a top6 player. not on a winning team.

I don't know.

I see alot of speed and intensity.... lots of things I like about his game.

I think his wingers aren't helping him right now and he might be better suited on the wing.

He's no Kirby Dach that's for sure.

I do not think he is a center, imo. I think he can be a really solid winger, with speed and passing ability. Not sure he ever really scores many goals.

Also, nice to see Gallagher looking decent again, after years of injuries.

Less minutes, more impactful minutes has helped.

He is on a 20+ goal / 40+ pts pace, if he can keep that up, I think most people will be extremely happy with those number, many surprised.

I see him getting a call up late in the season, if Laval is not in the playoff race / playoffs.
