Swayman's play has been impressive. He is keeping this club in games. Its great to see.

Youth infusion is looking good. I haven't missed Gryz at all. Will be nice to get McAvoy back in a couple games. I'm glad the points are coming early this season. So important to get some wins early in the season.

I expected to see a decline in goaltending for BOS from last season. They're actually improving on it.

Big win. Nice bounce back last night. Swayman is ridiculous right now. I love seeing Beecher and Lohrei get their 1sts.

Boston seems to be playing better defensively this year, than last, which somehow not something I would have considered possible. I guess that is the core of their new identity and it is paying off with both goaltenders having amazingly strong starts.

I am impressed.

I think a fair amount of credit should go to Monty too. I think last year was a learning experience for him. He had guys that held so much respect in the room that I think the team basically ran itself a lot of the time. This year with some of those respected guys gone he is adapting and playing to the strengths of the players he has. I'm glad they picked him over the dude currently coaching the sharks.

Lohrei, Wotherspoon and Steen set down. Bummer about Lohrei but I get it. Also could just be a paper transaction for a couple of them. I'm guessing Forbort is coming back in.

Haven't seen anything on McAvoy's appeal so maybe he got a game knocked off as well. That would make sense so the adds would be McAvoy and Forbort and keep Mitchell to round out the d-corp.

I dont think McAvoy will have his punishment reduced to be honest. He deserves to sit all 4. Ill take it if it does happen, but something tells me he has one more game to sit.

Not disagreeing, but the thing in his favor is that OEL only missed the rest of that game. Not sure how the roster moves work unless both are back (Gryz isn't eligible yet I don't think). Like you said though, could just be paper moves.

Suspension upheld, the three players recalled and Forbort still questionable for tomorrow. Oh, and Lauko practiced in non-contact sweater.

If necessary, give more young kids a look. Why not. In a good spot, let some of the guys doing good in Providence get some action. First call ups: Merkulov, Georgi, Lysell, Fabian and Farinacci, John. They have looked decent enough, give them a taste and see how they do.

Yeah, wouldn't mind seeing another young gun brought up but suspect it will be Brown and Steen slotting in.

I have really liked a couple of the shifts Steen has gotten, but more often than not he seems to be a passenger. Would like to see someone else get a look. Brown makes sense. I would venture to guess they would call up boqvist too because why waste the guy you signed right?

And if you aren't totally sold on him (Boqvist in this case), each trip back down exposes him to waiver wire pickup to off-load some cap.

Really sheds light on Lysell being a dud. What is up with this kid? Hamill part II?
