Frost with only 11:45 of TOI. What did he do wrong this game, except get them off and running...?

Interesting game in the sense that I thought Carolina dominated possession and scoring chances and lost, while the Flyers dominated the previous game they played against Carolina and lost. I thought Carolina really exposed some players last night, specifically Zamula who I thought was a disaster in this game. I know we want to develop our young players but honestly I think I have seen enough of big Z. I loved his game in the pre-season but the way he is playing now makes me cringe every time he is on the ice. When Risto and or Staal come back, I think Z will need to sit for a while. I also thought Couturier did not look right to me. I am afraid there is something wrong with him, and I sincerely hope it's not his back again. These are not the only two players, in fact I thought the entire team was out of sync last night, and a little slow, but maybe that's because of Carolina.

Zamula doesn't need to sit. He needs to keep playing. When Ristolainen is ready to play. Belpedio either sits as the 7th or sent back to the AHL.

Seeler brings it every night. A solid 3rd pair Dman making 775K , plays physical , blocks shots and not too mention a + 10. Made a great play on TK goal

Didn’t realize he’s a + 10. Wow. Well done. Still kind of shocked that they have a decent record without any semblance of a pp. this is starting to get embarrassing. What are the coaches doing to fix this other than scratching frost?

PP is a disgrace, I can't recall a Flyers PP looking so bad and simply unorganized. I think Toronto holds the record for 51 straight PP's without a goal.

Flyers had 3 penalties to kill, and only one power play. Tortorella used the Couturier and Poehling lines a lot in playing with a 3rd period lead. A couple lines got caught on long shifts. It adds up. Tippett played about the same as they kept those two together.

Agree, that PP in the 3rd was one of the worst I have ever seen, and I watch a lot of high school hockey also. I really think the Flyers need to bring in another voice to work with the PP units, they are completely lost out there, no chemistry, no plan, no results.

Foerster got 20 minutes of ice time and looked about as likely to score an NHL goal as that lady in the red shirt sitting behind Brindy.

That was a good win on the road, but it's bizarre to have Bobby Brink sitting in the stands while Deslauriers is basically unplayable and only gets 7 minutes, Foerster is gifted way too much ice time that he doesn't deserve, and now they're trying to make Poehling the 3C after giving up on Cates.

Poehling had 14:55 at ES, Cates had 7:25.

I agree about the 20 minutes but I like the player. He's just incredibly snakebitten. He made a good strong shot on one scoring chance where the goalie made a good save. I think he's going to be a player.

Of course, I agree about Deslauriers. It's interesting that Tortorella states that he wants to get Poehling going offensively so he needs to move him up in the lineup. Versus the team's leading ES scorer from last season when he struggled for a couple of games. He gets scratched for 7 games. That's the clown that Tortorella is.

Goodness, this coach looks terrible when they’re losing and suspect when they’re winning. His shelf life can’t be that long, right?

I would like Poehling to look better offensively as well, it would make it easier to trade him. I am all about who who the Flyers can trade this season.

Brink and Frost have been healthy scratched 10 times now. They have 10 ES points in 22 games.

Cates and Poehling have been healthy scratched three times. They have 5 ES points in 29 games.
