Hopefully Chytil can recover from this. I remember when Sauer got hit by Phaneuf, days turned into weeks, weeks into months and then just never heard about it again. Concussions are no joke and as they pile up the worse the outcome is. Didn’t cinderella get a bunch early in his career also? Hope Chytil can bounce back from this. |

What I worry about is can he fully recover from it mentally. Can he get back out on the ice confidently without being afraid to get hit? Hes not a particularly physical player to begin with so I wonder how he will handle that. |

Hate to say it, but Gus may make Lindgren expendable. In Lindgrens favor is we really don’t have an in house guy to step in tho. Idk, looks to be difficult to sign both of them |

I know we talk about how Lindgren’s game wont age well, but are you nuts? Gustafsson will be 32, Lindy will be 26. There’s no fkn way Im taking Guatafsson over Lindy.
Gus has been bouncing around to 7 different teams (8 stops) since 2019. He is going to want a long term deal, cash and trade rights. NO! FKN! WAY! |

I don't believe you are this naive.
...We all know TJ is nuts!!!!!
Also, agreed. Gus is working out very well, but he is no replacement for Cyborg Lindgren. |

The fun really starts at 5:35 mark.
Rangers down 3-0 to the Wild with 17 mins left in the game, score 5 goals in the 3rd, including Anthony Duclair's first NHL goal, to make the comeback and win the game. |

That’s all true. But the thing with Gus is Lavy. He’s never played better under any other coach ever. He may want to be here and take less money if they give 4 years. I don’t think anyone would give him 7-8 years
3yr deal for Lindgren $4.5
4yr deal for Gus 4.5
Can they swing that? They need to have a left side of the defense after Miller

A team like Chicago, the team that drafted him, has more money to spend. I could see them giving him 5x5 and making him the 1LD next to Seth Jones.
Can they afford it... Well heres what you have to consider...
The Rangers need to resign Lindgren, Gustafsson, Schneider, Kakko
The Rangers also need to bring up a winger to either play RW1 or RW3 (This will probably be Othmann), they also need a 4C and a backup goalie (Garand?)
However within ALL of this, the most important thing we need to consider is Shesty is going to be a free agent the following year. We do not want to leave ourselves in a screwed up financial position when we need to write that check. |

This is part of the reason I could see Kakko being traded. I can’t see Drury signing him for 4 plus million bucks right now. He’s done nothing to deserve a raise. They aren’t in a position to give money like this out based on potential. Kakko clock is really ticking imo, and fast. 2-3 years ago it would be a different story |

Wow actually a game tonight - TPC
Anyone else have a bad feeling about tonight’s game? Rangers haven’t played in a week. Igor hasn’t played in weeks. All the hype after they beat us in the playoffs last season. Devils coming off a big W against Pitt. Maybe it’s just the pessimistic Rangers fan in me. Feel like the 1st period of this game is pivotal. Rangers can’t come out flat. |
