Honestly at this point the team is what it is... so its up to Tree to make some moves to fix things. Needs to start with Keefe. Had to love his being fed up with all the too many men penalties. Like it hasnt been years of ongoing issues there. NOW he is fed up?! Good coach, great at AHL level but Leafs need better. Outcoached waaaay too often. Time to make that change and then get to work on the roster tweaking.

Doesn't matter who they hire or who they fire: Fletcher, JFJ, Burke, Nonis, Dubas, Treeliving, Babcock, Randy, Wilson, Maurice....not one GM can put the right team together for the right coach at any given time.

I dont mind keefe, but im not sure hes the coach to take the team to next level.
But also, it is a soft team

Kind of interesting though that there's not a lot of chatter about Matthews' slump.

Held pointless in 6 of the last 8 games which he's scored 1 goal and 2 assists.

Both players will be fine.

I just wish we didn’t already know exactly who the Leafs are.

Just chemistry wise, something has to give. Makes way more sense to move Nylander than Marner. But one of those two has to go.

Exactly. The thing is they will go on a heater for a bit, and everything is good, then it’s back to the same crap. Point being, it’s the same recipe same routine same weakness, nothing changes……and yet some people expect different results! Not happening.
