It was not perfect but it was a good step in the right direction…

I think the most positive things were Slafs performance and Monahan managing to score 2 goals….

yep, that will come. he's already a lot better compared to last season. last year he was only trying to survive. very promissing. and finally a kid with some size!!

When he learns to quick release his shot he'll be more of a scoring threat, right now he's easy to read and the D has all the time in the world to put his stick in front of shot.

It's funny yesterday he had a couple of good shift and I thought I'd be great if once in a while he tried to cut to the net using his size and speed like Anderson does sometimes and on the next shift he tried to split the D, drawed the penalty where Monahan scored.

Good game against a club much more on par as the Habs talent wise.

Not too sure I would push Prime out the goalie door....if it was me, Monty gets more games, then Prime, then Allen gets a few here and there. Allen is not the future, might as well develop Monty and Prime, see if either is the future.

Slaf is going to be a beast.....just like Rantanen on Colorado. Playing Slaf with talent is smart, he will continue to show....now the Habs just need more talent in that forward group.

Montembeault posting great numbers, won 4 of his last 5 and the whole team plays better in front of him. Everything since the last year and a half suggests he's a fine goaltender.
