nah, everyone knows that it's way better to enjoy that poop after the game, rather than during... the lack of experience was apparent for the habs in the third but by hanging on and getting the W they got to celebrate by giving each other high-fives while getting high.

I think I got a good 6 hours of sleep, Pete, but thanks for the concern.

it's the weekend, so afternoon power naps are always an option.

yeah, 8 hours is usually the suggested norm to aim for, but I'm fine with between 6-8 hours, and like I was saying my sleep can get a bit more sporadic during the weekend.

and that is why we are the best crowd in the world. we have heard that often over the years, that was yet another proof of it.

to Renaud on that one.

well the ovation came from the crowd, Renaud avait pas grand chose à voir là-dedans lol...

but yeah, MTL is a special market, as much as the negativity and criticism towards the players can get very intense and out-of-place, the love and appreciation that they're shown is pretty unique as well.

moé, ça?

you're talking about it as though he did something very special, he simply did his job and listened to the crowd imho.

"... that there are no hesitations in his (Slaf) game when it comes to forechecking and backchecking (it's not the case when it comes to shooting, but I digress)..."

Yeah, the only thing I can find to complain about Slaf's game right now is that is deferring to often to his linemates, rather than shooting himself (even if he has improved his passing game).

His puck retrieval, puck protection and backchecking have been so vastly improved this year that it is only a matter of time before he puts it all together.

what I find particularly interesting about Slaf is that he potentially has a ton of upside yet to be discovered. if he's able to adjust his game like that at the NHL level at 19 years old, he could turn out to be pretty damn good with a couple of more years under his belt.
