The need for a better defender was much more needed than the need for a strong 3lc on the team.

Ya I think they prefer Hronek and Zadorov to Bo right about now

(not accounting for the other picks involved and Ratty who's still down on the farm)

Morning York and thanks.

Would be good to see a better start in Nashville, but by now everyone knows that the Canucks can ramp up pressure and effort to win a game they weren’t playing well in the 1st.

A tie after the first, lead after the 2nd equals more wins than less.

Thanks Yorky.

I find it odd to see some of the usual pom-pom wavers are complaining about certain players and parts of the game, like PP/PK, all while the Canucks are playing their best hockey in years.
I am enjoying the games, whenever I get a chance to watch and haven't had to bring out the foam bricks yet, this season.

Vegas had 17 Canadians last season. Canucks had 12 Canadians last season.

People were complaining when they were winning President's Trophies. Always gonna be there.

Thanks for the blog. Good to see RT quote he’s happy for points but wants to clean up starts.

That’s how you build a winning team formula. That and PP/PKs too lol.

Here’s my yearly reminder of why a properly constructed back end matters most.

Vancouver:

Hugues Hronek 2 puck movers
Zadorov 6.6
Myers 6.7
Soucy 6.4
Jullsen 6.3
Cole 6.2 (shot blocker)

Vegas:

Pietro 6.4
Hague 6.6
Mcnab 6.5
Martinez 6.1 (great defender)
Theodore 6.2
Whitecloud 6.1 (heavy)

Range, covers ice, imposing, good skaters. That’s all.

Keep up the good work.

I only watched the 3rd yesterday.
Loved seeing Big Z take care of business when Peterson was flattened there.

Nice little roll they’re on, even tho the team isn’t playing to the best of their abilities yet.

Perhaps…and just hear me out on this one, perhaps the ‘Pom pom wavers’ were not what as biased as you assumed. Maybe they we just fans all along.

And they brought in Jacques Martin apparently, talk about hiring a 🦕. Guess Babcock and Qenneville are still blackballed.

Yeah I've noticed that as well, I guess there's no pleasing some. I'm very much enjoying watching the Canucks, it is much better entertainment than past years, they haven't put me to sleep once this year, they have had a couple of stinker games but that's nothing to freak out about. Tocchet has them doing the right things and maybe the PP is suffering because other teams are watching what the guys have been doing and are doing a better job on their own PK.
