Only one player on Leafs worth 13 million. That is their clear cut best player Matthews.

No one else really worth $11 although the Nylander comparison to Pasternak in the 3 years before he signed his latest contract are interesting. That being said I am not sure he will put up Pasternak numbers in the future.

Allocating and extra 2M a year because of the way a guy played for 35 games? That’s too much. If he wants 11+ million he has every right to pursue it, on the open market. And the Leafs have every right to trade him to recoup any losses from him walking at the end of the season.

I’m starting to suspect that Willy’s camp leaked some poop (to Kyper or whoever) to try to speed things up, and hurry Tre into making a quick decision. If this is true, then I doubt Tre is too pleased with it. Because I haven’t heard a peep from him. Just last week there were rumours that the Leafs gave WN permission to speak to other teams.

And it’s also obvious that teams do so without adding the variable of a potential cap growth restriction.

Not sure the cap rocks up for 110m in 4 years, it would be great if it did, just dont trust the nhl to get it there.
Wilie hasnt hit 90pts yet, he seems to be on his way this year....but thats only 1 year....a contract year.
Simply not worth 11m imo...not my money but it would be nice it leafs stars leave money on the table.
