I have a feeling we won't see a lot more roster turnover. I think getting Kuzmenko back was a mistake if they want to rebuild. If that top line clicks, they're better than they were with Lindholm. Lindholm is the better player, but he didn't mesh with anyone. I'd bet that they're going to be in a playoff spot by the end of February.
They're going to catch the Bruins off guard tonight and crush them and then ride that momentum through New York where they'll win at least 2 of the 3. I don't see how they managed to get this road trip, and really all of February, without having to play a single back-to-back.
Kuzmenko also looks really excited to be on the Flames. |

What’s the chances we leave Hanifin in Boston? Just heard his agents are sitting down with Conroy to present their offer. |

Lots of great points. I would be smiling too if I found out on vacation that I was moving from an angry Italian's doghouse to first powerplay and first line assignments with a new team.
Could certainly see Kuz playing the East-West, hooks and curls game that Huberdeau needs his linemates to play. Wonder what Conroy could get if he got Kuzmenko producing at a point per game up to the deadline and then retained 50% of his contract this season and next season. Never going to happen, but fun to think about. |

Agreed he had a solid debut.
Hani 25:46 steady minutes.... lets get him signed and if not we better cash in as he has become a stud!

Let’s not forget Pospisil with what fans of the league could consider to be the highlight play of the year. |

Well he made a few bad giveaways and was out of position a few times. But is big tough and physical hopefully taniv can teach him a few things before he gets traded |

It was a good night of Hockey. The Flames played their most inspiring game all year, Lindholm, with a couple for the Nucks and the Golden Knights doing God's work, so we will not have to hear about this Oil team for the rest of time.
The Universe was in balance last night. |

Right about Hannifin, definately need to sign him and trade Tanev and bring up some youth like Gilbert.
Huberdeau seemed to play alot better with Kuzy. Great game all around. |

I hope Pospisil doesn't face a suspension for what was, truth be told, a dangerous hit but when the dirtbag Marchand is digging after the whistle on your goalie then you can't just let that be. They both got what they deserved from the refs, and hopefully that's that.
I loved the play of everyone in front of Markstrom last night. Too bad on the Bruin's goal that the puck was deflected; he was worthy of a shut-out on the night.
Pelltier made some good defensive plays off the puck, as well, and the whole team looked energized, faster and more engaged. |

OK good. Pospisil is back next game with no league investigation, according to reports today. |

Gilbert is already on the team. He's also older than most of the other defencemen. They don't really have any defencemen in the system who are NHL ready.
If Hanifin does sign, they probably hold on to Tanev until right at the deadline to see where they are. It doesn't sound like the return for him is going to he much.

He hasn't told the Flames that yet.
Every insider has said they've been in active negotiations multiple times this year, have an agreement in principle, and the Flames are just waiting for his decision. |
