I’d wait until we actually don’t trade a 1st before the hysteria starts. I don’t think we should trade a 1st this year but that’s only bc I don’t think we’re good enough this year/have to many holes to fill especially with Chytil being done. Something tells me we won’t have a 2024 1st after the trade deadline though.

This obvious sellers have plenty of guys to go after that shouldn’t cost very much to get. Like Duclair is the perfect example, maaaybe a second? Third? I’ve been saying I think they can get the job done with some around the edges guys added. SJ in particular has at least 3-4 guys that could help us, and strictly they’re rentals

We may not love it but may have to settle for Duclair in the end, and or Tyler Johnson for example. Pretty much anyone would be better than Wheeler and JBrod. Brod can easily move down to the 4th line instead of Pitlick. So they could get two positions better then what we currently have and not have traded much of anything. They don’t need a star, or to over pay for one. Maybe they have Othmann still in the plans this year since he’s moved to RW, you never know

I don’t think Kakko is going anywhere anyway and that’s the chip they want to trade, but they aren’t giving him away and I just don’t see the offers coming in for him. Probably could see Sykora or Berard traded, or number of other prospects that shouldn’t make us freak over losing.
