Why would NYR add Zegras when he's a huge question mark coming back from a major injury. You would think that if they want to add help for a Cup run, they would target someone they know can help them right now. Adding Zegras is something you do in the off-season.

Currently the Chart contains 35 names and all those players will be updated with possible team percentages by days end. However, I wanted to get some of the percentages out first, including a possible Zegras for Kappa (and pick) rumor.-EK
I don't think Verbeek is interested in Italian leisurewear as a makeweight in a deal, but maybe.
The Rangers don't have good enough assets to get Zegras. Kakko is a disappointing prospect that shows little upside. Lafriniere isn't as good as Zegras. Adam Fox is untouchable in a trade. Ducks don't need more picks. And rangers low first round picks aren't good enough to get Zegras. The Flyers had a good foward prospect to get Drysdale. The Rangers don't have that kind of prospect to trade. So this trade is dead before it started.

NYR have the prospects to make a deal, but they better not touch them for a guy that seems disinterested in playing a complete game, at least to this point in his development.
I am not in favour of NY doing this, but if they did, I assume it would be a quantity aiding quality sort of package.

They could include Othmann not GO tho. And Laf on pace for 50 plus this year. Could see him easily being a 60 point plus player next year which would make him as valuable as Zegras

Either you're lying or you don't know basic math. Lafreniere is on pace for 48 pts. 30pts./51games=~.588pts./game. .588x82=~48.23.
Zegras is one year older but has two 60+ point seasons and has been a substantially better ES point producer over his career compared to Lafreniere. https://www.naturalstattr...&td=&tgp=410&lines=single

But....he's a Ranger! That's worth more than a lowly Duck.

Zegras also plays on PP 1 and has much more opportunities than Laf does to padden those stats. Not saying Laf is better or going to be better than Zegras but let’s not make it sounds like they are light years apart. The Rangers could 100% put together a package that would be enough to get him but honestly does Zegras put the Rangers over the top? I honestly don’t think he’s worth it for what the Ducks would want.
Probably would be something like Kakko, Othman, Jones, & a 1st rounder
Ducks are stocked with centers. Zegras, MacT, Carlsson, and maybe Gauthier? The last would probably make a better wing. Philly needs to cut salary and has wings.
Konecny and a 5th for Zegras and a Boston’s 2nd.
Konecny going into that lineup next year with Carlsson, Gauthier, Terry, and MacTavish could be a really powerful young offense.
Meanwhile, Philly starts to solidify their center position. Coots is like their one true center with talent. Laughton is a 4th liner, and the other two could just as well play wing. Or sell off Laughton for whatever someone will give and just have Poehling do it.
Philly preps for the arrival of their Russian prospect by adding youth and trimming some salary (TK is about to get a raise), and Anaheim kicks it into gear sooner than expected with talented guys on affordable deals.
