Alex,
Hello, hope all is well.
To many fans in Columbus Provorov is taking a spot away from young defensemen who are playing the minors and can use the experience since the season was over by November 1st. And since Severance is signed for 25 more years, and nobody wants Gudbranson at his cap hit, and he is the best of the rest he gets the attention.
Personally, I think he is someone to keep unless you can get a haul for him. Sadly, I think ex-GMJK just picked up too many offensive defensemen last summer when the team needed a couple defense-first types, but that's water under the bridge.
I thought getting him for a late 1st round draft choice was a good deal, and still do.
Frankly there is about 4 guys that should not be traded: Boone, Johnny Hockey, Laine, and Zach Werenski. Anyone else can go if the right deal comes along.

Offensive defensemen are hard to come by , there is some wisdom in over drafting those type of players.
Say we rid ourselves of Boquivst , Bean or Peeke (who I all find inconsequential), those are two roster spots for Jiricek (solid two-way) and maybe a hulking stay at home defensemen.....wouldn't be out of the question we see the return of David Savard , a sturdy defensive defensemen to provide leadership to that core .
