It’s amazing. And it always seems to be a different guy. Even with TK down, which I thought the goals would plummet. They have created offense all year, and with an absolutely horrific PP. And all that with torts really holding the offense back because he’s a dinosaur apparently 😂😂 |

The Flyers are a below average offensive team and they have the 2nd worst PP in the league. |

And they were pegged to be a bottom 5 team. Torts just doing a phenomenal job. |

the head coach is responsible for the PP. He only hold certain peeps accountable.
they would def have a few more points with even a functioning PP. The fact he has never made a change is a disgrace. |

They weren't pegged to be a bottom 5 team. Tortorella has done a good job. Phenomenal is hyperbole in my opinion.

If the flyers just had a league average PP (20.8%) they'd have 15 more goals. That would put them in the top 1/3 of the league in scoring.

Bill Meltzer: Flyers Gameday: 3/4/2024 vs. STL; Phantoms Update - bmeltzer
Any word around the organization on if and how the Flyers are making sure Hayes is kept away from current Flyers players... to insure against further contamination of roster of antii-Flyers propaganda that may lead to players jumping ship, and refusing to play wearing O&B? Rumor has it that the WFC is setting up a plexiglass barrier between the Blues side and the Flyers side to make sure Hayes can't pass notes, nor comments to Flyers players during pregame skate... and that the in-house sound system will be jacked up to maximum level so as to make sure Hayes can't converse with players as he skates by the redline. Word on the street has it that the Snow the Goalie crew will be picketing at the entrance the Blues bus will we entering the complex, holding up signs saying Hayes kills orange furred kittens just for fun... and security will be on high alert in the building after death threats were made against Hayes; fans are being strongly advised to not wear Hayes jerseys in the building tonight... and Torts has deployed numerous shelter pit bulls throughout the atrium, mezzanine, and club levels I'm order to keep unruly Hayes fans from attacking Flyers fans, and Flyers fans from attacking Hayes Blues supporters... It us strongly suggested thst people take strong measures if attending... and to keep an eye out for flying dollar dog projectiles at all times. Please stay tuned for further news alerts and bulletins... The Flyers want to thank it's fans for their understanding in such perilous times.
🙄 😏
Seriously though... big two points on the table here... LET'S GO FLYERS... let's drive for the postseason. |

Yea, overall on him. I really don’t think this should be a good PP though, where exactly should the rank with the players they have? They get away in other areas with structure and effort but you cant just work hard on the PP, you need players to create space and deception. Make the right reads. It’s horrible; and it needs to be better. But I don’t think this roster could produce anything better than a bottom third Pp. |

there is no reason to be last for as long as they have been. A better coach/system would help 100%. My main issue is he wont change it or do anything about it. it iwll cost them.
bottom 3rd > last, obviously. |

Do you want him to sell low or try to get the most out of trades? He can't force teams to pay his price.

Not arguing that for the most part. I thought it had looked better with Drysdale and that group a week or two ago. They’d be sitting comfortably if it was the 25th ranked PP. |

The Flyers don't have the horses to have a good PP. They lack a true PP QB defenseman and a legitimate table setting forward to play on the half wall and distribute the puck. Frost is the best they have. However, I feel with better coaching and strategy, the PP could be improved from where it was. They don't have the talent but they also don't have the coaching to have a better PP. The Flyers desperately need to adjust their coaching staff and bring in some offensive minds. Both for the PP and 5 on 5. However, Tortorella would have to release on some of his non-negotiables to get the full benefit of that.

So who got the better end of the Brayden Schenn trade? I know there are many layers to the argument. IIRC, the Flyers thought Schenn could not play center in the NHL. Maybe I am mistaken. |

Yea, they need to bring someone else in. This Rocky guy has given nothing. The point guy has been an issue all year. As have the forwards. Just run it through TK, he should always touch the puck. Best player by a landslide. |

The blues won. The flyers didn’t lose, they actually got a good return but their own foolish ways of not picking a way to go cost them in the end. That should have been the start of a full scale rebuild. |

Actually it should be run through Frost. Konecny is a shooter. On the PP, Konecny isn't close to being the best player. Frost is the best producer on the PP.

The cascade effect of trading Schenn at the time. If he stays and is viewed as a center, does Hayes get signed as an example? Hexy viewed him as a winger, so he picks up draft picks and takes on Lehetera's contract, then signs JVR to a higher cap hit to play wing. Worked out great for Schenn, his name is on the Stanley Cup.forever.
