Good! We got our first two Dholes from france, they are in quarantine but super cute! Getting 5 fames from San Diego zoo next week so hopefully the new species will draw some people in this summer and hopeffully they will make a ton of babies and we can release some in the wild eventually because they are super in danger.

But otherwise in my departement things are great, only thing worrying me is they are negotiating the collective work agreement right now and lately every group has been going on strike and if it happens I have to go shovel elephant poop 7 days a week this summer.

Yeah it's closest realtive is the african wild dog.

But that's like saying all felines are house cats

Yeah! alot of people haven't. It's charismatic, their enclosure is gorgeous it's the biggest we have everbuilt after the african savana. They have a cascade with a pool they can swim in, apparently they like water. And it's a species we can really have an impact in their conservation plan.

Hopefully the pool will be more popular then the hot springs in the japaneese macaque enclosure which they have never used.
