I want to see a team go extreme on it. WSH sucked and should have done it this year. Bring up every dirty goon they have in the org. to just deliver career ending blows to the opposition star players. Just to see if the league would do anything about it. Because if not, teams have nothing to lose by doing that.

Mcdavid thinks he can two-hand whoever he wants, whenever he wants. Last night he (frank)ed around and Found out. Game 2 he tomahawk chopped Hughes to the face.

The real douche is Zadorov entering as a third man (negro move) in the fight.

No hearing for Bennett because he didn't "sucker punch" Marchand. Marchand launched himself into Bennett, who just returned 5 minutes earlier from a hand injury, after missing 5 games. Marchand missed the target and hit the boards. Marchand is the one with intent to injure.

On the bench after that hit, they were checking his shoulder after he hit the boards. He played for another 2 periods during which he hit Stenlund head to head; that's the hit that should be reviewed and disciplined. That's the hit that caused concussion protocol.

The handshake line needs to be abolished....respect no longer exists and the league officiating has never been worse....... stop the clown show handshake line..... this league will never garner serious viewership because most sports fans view the NHL as a 5hitshow not worthy of recognition next to other sports.... Looks like the guy was just going to push McD away but because McD was falling he hit him in the head instead of pushing the chest away! Again it was McD who started with the vicious slash. Hope Zadorov lays out McD next game. Then he gets suspended rest of playoffs and signs with Leafs.

Agreed 100%, it wasn't a shot to the head, he just happened to be falling.

Both are despicable plays, But the McDavid one is worse.
I can see an angle on the ice that the Bennett one would have gone unseen by a referee. It was a clear punch to the face but has the appearance of a clear hit in already rough game.

McDavid was pushed from behind and went straight into the outstretched stick of Soucy and in an unobstructed view. All 3 players involved should have gotten penalized McDavid being one of them for slashing at Soucy in retaliation.

You seem like a biased Panthers fan. I don't like the rat either, but Marchand's hit was completely clean. Bennett's fist to the face was clearly intentional even if he didn't initiate the contact.

Marchand is what he is there is no denying that. Anyone who does is deluded. Bennett is no Lady Byng candidate himself. Last time I checked though punching a guy in the head is still against the rules. It would be better if there weren't reputation based calls and they just enforced the rules correctly. It's one the reasons the NHL is still a bush league.

This crying about the refs stuff is total crap though. The Bruins lost and are losing because the roster is deficient at every position except in net and it has been exposed for the second series now.

I hate the Bruins, but that punch has to be suspension unless the league wants escalated retaliation. Which perhaps they do.
Swayman has been great. The centers on Boston are getting annihilated almost every shift. Florida has been dominating play almost every period.

Sam Reinhart (the league's second leading scorer) was knocked out of the game on a play where he didn't possess the puck and hadn't even touched it. I'm surprised no one seems to be talking about that.
