Man Darnell Nurse is a Bonehead, stupid selfish penalty at the end of the game.
Thought the Oilers were going to blow the Stars out of the rink. Unfortunately, nobody told the Stars.
What happened to Mrs McDavid? Hiding? For someone that knows so much, she sure has been ghosting the Oiler blog.

Can’t quit skating. At one point in the 2nd the Stars had 12 consecutive shots, complete turnaround of the 1st.
Can’t count the Oilers out, that line of McDavid, Draisaitl, Hymen is probably the best in the league. They can change a game in an in a moments notice. Maybe it’s time to put Gagner or Stetcher in? |

lol I actually think Tony Stretcher would help. Bottom line is Dallas is a different team than Vancouver deeper and more dynamic. Remember Vegas jumped out to a 2-0 series lead vs Dallas and Dallas won 4 straight. Oilers aren't going to get away with what they got against Van compared to Dallas. And now they have put themselves in a must win situation already. Much like Van they can't hold a lead to save their lives lol |

I was hoping Pickard would start next game but they're going with Skinner.
Start the fresh goalie and give Skinner a little breather. Start a fresh Skinner for game 5. Pickard is showing to be reliable when called upon. 2 good starts already against Vancouver.
Just seems to make sense. Go 2 games Skinner and 1 Pickard through the playoffs. |

I’d pull Nurse before Skinner, guy is a serious liability out there.
Your boy Kane played like crap last night, Gagner in for Evander.
Oilers don’t seem to have an answer for Dallas’s depth. Stars just keep chugging along, chipping away at the scoreboard. Robertson off the snide, watch for him to keep it up.
Not sure how much more McDavid can do? He looks exhausted, his interview at the end of the game told the real story.

No it doesn’t. Skinner isn’t the reason the Oilers are losing, he’s played well enough to give them a chance every game. It’s the defensive letdowns that is allowing the Stars to score. 12 consecutive shots on Skinner in the 2nd is not his fault, he can’t do anything about that.

I agree with this. It's the defensive "buy in" from everyone that's letting the Oilers down, and not the goaltending. I paused the game quite a few times to show my son..."see, look at Foegle/Draisaitl/Nurse/McDavid/Ceci/Kane/etc" on that play. Does THAT look like someone who wants to win at all costs?"
There is just something about the Edmonton Oilers that plagues their motivation all too often. I have no answers, it's been happening for years.

9 million dollar defenceman Darnell Nurse, 2 assists in the playoffs and a beautiful-12 to lead the team. He’s as stupid as he is bad!
Thanks Kenny, good luck in Columbus! |
