Trouba (25% retainment) for Petry. Then we’re free of a buyout and only 2 million on the books next year. Not a bad compromise? Petry would be serviceable 6-7 guy
Sign Kane for one year, 5 mill AAV
Sign Tanev, Lindgren and Schneider
Promote Othmann (3LW), Keep Kakko (hope for the breakout)
4th liners game to game Cuylle w/Vesey, JBrod, Edstrom and Rempe
23 man roster |

(frank) Tom and (frank) Patrick Kane - picklerick
It’s sensible lol they really need to be careful because laf and Shesty are gonna get big time money. As in long term contracts at forward. Especially with Perrault coming soon
Doesn’t have to be Kane, but one year guy is probably the best course of action imo |

Wow. If San Jose was on his no trade list I can’t see how the players union doesn’t get involved. It’s blatant contract circumventing. |

Teams do it all the time. Look at Vegas and Tampa every season putting players on LTIR until the playoffs start. Its a loophole, nothing illegal at all |

Your loophole example benefits the players as well as the teams. This could be (I stress could cause San Jose very well may not have been on his list though if they wernt not sure why they didn’t just move a 7th round pick in 2026 or something) something that only hurts the player. It’s a loophole that the union might get its panties in a bunch over. |

Remember the Marc Staal loophole? He had a NTC, but had to submit a no trade team list by July 1st. He forgot to (or was late doing so) and breached his clause; causing him to get traded to Detroit. |

No. But it’s a team telling a player when they signed him he could choose places not to get moved to. The same team then works out a deal to move him to a team on that list then back doors him. Most dudes don’t like being backdoored. Hence the union. |

Not sure that’s a loophole but blatant negligence by his agent. |

The union is well aware of the waiver process and how a 15 team NTC doesn’t mean anything when it comes to waivers.
They negotiated and signed the CBA |

Pretty sure they didn’t intend the waiver process to be able to void a players contract. Not sure they could actually do anything about it though. But if they do have their feathers ruffled it’s something that probably gets renegotiated in the next cba. |

Ill take a health Kane, Good RW who was here before, nothing given up, only 2 more years of Panarin so they need to do something. |

Definitely possible. But again then why do this waiver thing. Could have sent over a prospect that is in the outs whose contract was expiring. If a stink is raised I think we will find out. |
