It is crazy to think after this past year, all the ups and downs of the season and playoffs that everything comes down to this one last game. The pressure is all on the Panthers, even if the Oilers lose everyone will be super proud and happy for them for pushing it to game 7.

I will be first to admit, I thought the Oilers were done against Vancouver, just a long personal history of watching the Oilers blow leads and not be able to make come backs. Then Dallas again I was pretty okay with losing to them and somehow we looked even more impressive against a better team. I started to believe and then bam we go down 3-0. So I was like, well that was nice, but now here we are. This is stuff we haven't seen the Oilers do since 2006.

It is crazy how much hockey history is being made, personal stats you'd never think to see broken, team stats which we haven't seen in decades. No matter what this has been incredible to watch and probably one of the most exciting sporting events in a long time, and if the Oilers make the come back I think there is something to be said about this being one of the greatest sporting achievements.

"Yeah, they came back from 0-3 down in the finals and no one had done that since the 1940's. But they really weren't a good team."-Only 1 guy, in the future.

With regards to Hyman's goal, what do you consider "modern day?". To me, Joe Sakic has the modern day record with 18.

You mean Eklund, the owner of this very site that said the playoffs are flawed because according to him, EDM was undeserving of being in the SCF when they went down 0-3.

At the end of the day none of these stats or records matter if they don’t win game 7. They will just be trivia answers. Win and it’s going to go down as one of the best sports moments of all time. Legendary. Both teams will be ready. Let’s go Oil.

Bettman told the Panthers that the NHL needed revenue so they told them to make a series of it. The Panthers let you win to build your confidence up and Like Minnesota Fats, all bets are on you and the odds are against the Panthers, the Panthers will sink your eight ball in game seven, and rake in the winnings.

Heard an interesting stat. This is the 1st time in McDavids career that the Oilers won a game he played in but didn't have a shot or a point. In only 7 previous games in McDavids career has he never had a shot or point before, 5 as a rookie in 15-16, one against the Flames in 2018 and against the Canadiens in 2021.

You can talk all day long about McDavid, Draisaitl, Hyman, etc, but what changed the Oilers around was your coach Kris Knoblauch. That is one smart coach and he is all businesslike. Great move by the Oilers to turn that team around.

Um, maybe not. A team that swallowed first over all draft picks for half a decade and has the best player in the world is in the Stanley Cup Finals?

Unequivocally yes, there's a difference between trolling and being just plain stupid. Stop crying and actually try understanding what's happening.

Stop being obtuse. The reference was for being down 0-3 in the Finals.

That, and Skinner. His numbers during games 4-7 during these playoffs are sparkling.

He's 10-0 with 1.50 gga and a .940 save%.

Kenny will bring us to the promised land.

Made that my location just after he was hired as GM. I believed it then, I believe it now. 1 more game, we have momentum, the 2 best players in the world, a red hot goalie and everybody contributing. I like our chances.

Would be great to see it all happen for the Oil and Canada in general.

Hopefully the refs stay out of it and let them play. 1 game winner take all either team has played hard to get to this point. Leave it all on the ice...

I'd be taking McKinon over Leon. And possibly Matthews.

Like I said - top 5.

I can see MacKinnon but look at playoff production between Drai and Matthews. No contest, and that where it matters most. Leon also has a Hart and Art Ross and is a perennial 50 goal scorer.

You realize Matthews has also won the Hart to go along with his Calder and 3x Maurice trophies right?

I'm not saying it's cut-and-dried. I said I'd consider Matthews.

Both are top 5 with McDavid as the consensus # 1
