Puck movement and player movement. The Flyers are too stationary so the penalty killers don’t have to turn their heads to know where they are so it’s easy to block the passing lanes.

They also need a good point man to get shots through to the nets for deflections and rebounds.

They also need to change up their strategy in game to not be predictable.

My job is done, I’m ready for my next assignment.

Intentionally take two penalties and score a SHG instead.

That's the sophisticated way of declining the penalty!

Not sure they have that guy right now. And to me you need to be able to move the puck on offense and not just stand around.

Watch. They’ll just use him sporadically on the second unit because he’s a rookie and too creative. Stick to the no movement no shots system!!

By the end of last year I was advocating for that strategy instead of what i was watching. It wasn’t a pp but a momentum sucking circus

The days of LeClair, Knuble, Hartnell and Simmonds in front of the net seem like ancient history. Who on the present roster has the size and guts to take the physical abuse in front of the net? Maybe Hathaway in an emergency? Other than that, it's slim pickings. I liked it when Hartnell and Simmonds were in front of the net at the same time.

Now that Michkov is coming to Philly next season, will Briere stick with the rebuild or will this expedite things and will Briere make this a re-tool? This draft and off season is going be very interesting and I'm sure there will be a lot of complaining on Hockey Buzz no matter what Briere does.

Use assets to move up or make all your picks this draft and next. Move Amy contacts at the deadline that add value, let’s see where it is in 2 years.

Zev lover, gave it the first light
A grin shows a trick up a sleeve (huahah)
What a tangled web they weave

It’s really just been one season without this type of player, although when we had that guy, our last few coaches refused to use him. That guy was James van Riemsdyk and he’s been used that way all season in Boston. Even if JvR doesn’t tip and deflect the puck, he takes away the goaltender’s eyes, which gives his teammates scoring chances.

I admit this isn’t the Flyers PP’s only issue. I just feel like we never had anyone anywhere hear the crease all season.

Anyone have a link to the game tonight? I cancelled ESPN plus when the Flyers season died and I don’t have cable.
