Great start for the Wings and more importantly Yzerman.... clearly the most important of our unrestricted.... the rest can walk, Ghost would be nice but I'm ok if he walks as long as a defensive dman comes in..... Kane signing the day prior to free agency is positive as his presence makes Detroit that more attractive even if it's only a 1 year.... hopefully it's a good day and for the Wings.....

Seemingly I receive negative reaction often when I post... I have opinions.. and no, there not always negative... I've been a fan since the mid 80s and have invested both time and money on this team and on this site I've responded to others respectfully even in disagreement... its ok though, I appreciate the insight from Jerrmy and enjoy thrme read..... just curious why only select people on here are called out when they have an opinion yet others can comment blasting Yzerman or any player or coach and no response is given

Love the Kaner signing, he did a lot to help build confidence and reintroduce a love for playing the game amongst the younger players on the team. Mazur, Eddy and Berggy are going to have great years upcoming. Love what Yzerman is building here.
And good riddance to all the primadonnas that follow the Wings, let your balls drop and support your team. Everyone is so negative in here (not everyone just the same usual loser brigade yelling about the sky falling). My mom used to say if you y'all ain't got something nice to say don't say nothing at all - maybe the sky is falling brigade can learn something from that.

Excellent draft as well - Nygard and Plante look like solid role players at the next level. Envisioning Nygard and Mazur running around plowing people like late summer harvest. Beautiful.

The only thing I had confirmed was term of some kind and that the dollar amount was not what he wanted. I think the dollars were very similar but term may have been 4 years.

Also, you were right on Guentzel. 7 yrs x 9 million. 7 yrs was max.

Reinhart’s deal (8x8.625) gives FLA around 10m with a roster around 16.

Definitely need a center, I think Lindholm is going to command more of a ticket than is feasible (never say never). Boston is supposedly hungry to get that deal.
