It’s at least nice to hear he “attempted” to be aggressive. You would hope in a “rebuild” even if that term is just for their marketing team, they would be….it’s not like this team is going to reconstruct itself . I didn’t see it at the trade deadline….we saw them whimper through the last week, the leagues busiest week to get stuff done, and of course now Free agency which is the time when a so called rebuilding team should be quiet.
After watching how the Flyers manoeuvred through the 1rst round on Friday, I’m not exactly excited to see this management team do it next year even with more picks. But I guess they bought themselves another year.
At least this year we get Michkov to watch as Torts attempts to turn him into that 200 ft guy the Flyers love so much.

The berglund pick was the biggest head scratcher. This guy lacks so much foot speed how is he a fit in torts pressure and rush attack offense? He’s unremarkable at everything? He’s a bottom 6 at best straight from the gun. Those are players that you sign cheap in ufa. I would rather take a prospect that has one high end/elite trait and see if anything else fills out. The draft should be one gigantic roll of the dice each and every prospect

You just can’t pass up a future 4C in the 2nd round. Just think, by 26-27 the Phantoms might be the biggest team in AHL history. That’s the kind of stuff you hang up on a banner!

Bill, what impact will Reinhart's deal have on TK? Reinhart plays C, had a monster season and same age. Will it help get less term? If they do sign TK.

Yeah. Not sure how I feel. I thought in the second round they were going to grab one of the defenders like Leo Sahlin Wallenius or i was hoping for Teddy Stiga.

Curious if they make any trades today. Teams who maybe miss on a Free agent or do they get an asset to take someone so the other team can sign a free agent.

Still prefer they move Konecny and hope to see them finally move Laughton.

He's at least 3 years away. The Torts system is irrelevant.

The forward version of Ginning.

https://www.capfriendly.com/players/adam-ginning

Six years after being drafted 50th overall he's played 10 NHL games. Sean Durzi went two picks later. I'm sure the Flyers weren't a fan of him only being 6'0" tall. Some things never change no matter who's in charge...

Overpaying a veteran stiff on the first day of free agency. A Flyers summer tradition.

Over under on how many games Johnson plays while a younger players is scratched or sits in the AHL that should be in the NHL for a developing team?

It's like a teddy bear to a 2 year old or a pacifier to an infant. They have to have it.

Florida is tax free and it plays into it. That deal is $10 per on a Canadian team. These Florida teams have a huge competitive advantage

I don't get this. They already have Sanheim, York, Drysdale, Seeler, Risto(if healthy), Zamula and then you resigned Ginning, have Attard and Andrae.

Why the hell is Johnson needed.

If we sign a vet then we can trade a vet. Let's move Laughton out. I see tons of teams looking for bottom 6 forwards. Ottawa really wants to improve there.

Torts adores him, he isn’t going anywhere. They will keep him, re-sign TK for 8 more years and trade Farabee and Frost.

It’s the Flyers way.

Flyers version of culinary preparation. Leave the casserole in the oven until it is so burnt that it is no longer edible and has to be thrown away.

It's funny that the Leafs would rather give 5 or 6 years to 34 year old Chris Tanev than trade for Ristolainen.
