Currently 11F, 5D, and Woll they have 9.5M left to budget.

Factor in a 7th D or 13th F and they're down to ~$8.5M.

Need a goalie ....a blueliner ..and a middle 6 fwd.

Goalie - sounds like a $2.5ish guy.
Dman - ideally it'd be a partner for McCabe but sounds like they're putting Benoit there and going cheaper ....OEL at $3-$4?

..that'd leave them $2-3M for that middle 6 forward.

If they signed Lilly to punt him elsewhere (please) and replaced him with a $1M vet then they'd have $4-5M to spend on that middle 6 forward (yes (frank)ing please). IMO, Leafs need a good middle 6 centre to make any difference. Stephenson would be nice.

Really like the Tanev signing, wasn't there talk of $6M per? This will allow him to retire after winning 3 cups in 4 years and no one will question it because what else can the guy achieve.

There was talk in the previous thread about how teams can talk to pending UFAs the week before July 1st, but then why did the Leafs give up a pick for Tanev's rights?!?!?

Could also see us use some of our prospects. Steeves, Cowan, Minten. Few guys in d that should likely push to make the jump or get a look and chance. Cheap options there in house too.
