Thank you! We got very lucky. No damage or power outage. A tornado hit eight miles south and nearest highway was closed off for a day. |

Under Briere and Jones the buzz word has been transparency. Now if you think they are selling BS, it really doesn't matter what they say. But yes, I've seen multiple reports that the Fyers have dangled Farabee, Frost and Laughton out there and have not got a lot of interest. Are these reports true? Who knows for sure.
- jd250
Can you link to one report? Just one, not a lot to ask for because I guarantee what you're inferring, does not exist.

You asked for just one, I give you two:

I don't see where it says they aren't getting a lot of interest?
We have already established that Briere says Laughton was getting a lot of interest but that they want more than fair value.

That was regarding Laughton at last year's deadline. The fact that its July 10th and the Flyers have not comsumated a trade validates they have either not received interest or have not had any serious offers. No one right now is even reporting discussions at this point. |

Kind of agree w MB here - does not really state anything about teams being interested in those players. Just really states they are possibly available.

possible, that is why I think it has to happen at the deadline this year. If the Flyers do not trade more veteran players and get this team into the top 10 of this draft, I will be off the Briere train, because I think that would be just plain stupid. The team is never going to rebuild picking 15th and higher and Briere has got to have his head in the sand if he thinks he can trade into the top 10 given what we have seen in the past few drafts; and this draft is supposed to be even better. |

Where does it say in either of those articles that there has been very little interest? Exactly what I thought. You're full of poop and again, are inventing what doesn't exist and/or misreading what is written. Just as you do with everything. You've checked off the box of stupidity for today. You can start working on tomorrow.

Have you finally realized that trading up in the draft is not really realistic. After repeatedly posting over and over that you think the Flyers are going to trade up. Hey, it's dinner time and you realized the sun came up today.

Sigh. Or it means they aren't seriously thinking about trading them.
You editorialized that they weren't receiving much interest. I 100% disprove that by pointing out what Briere said about Laughton specifically, you then move the goalposts to say you only meant now.
Black_Francis constantly wonders why people attack your points, saying he doesn't understand why. It is because you present certain facts (yes there are reports)and then present your own opinion (no interest) on those facts, as a fact.
For example, yes, there have been many reports that the Flyers are dangling Farabee, Frost, and Laughton. Most of them are just speculation based on what the team needs, and SHOULD do. You then present it as a fact that they are doing it and then further say they aren't receiving much interest. It is the second part that opens you up for debate, especially since, again, Briere stated specifically that Laughton received a lot of interest.
Briere, as far as I know, has never spoken about Farabee or Frost in that context. Only Laughton. That tells me that these "dangling" comments regarding Frost and Farabee are just speculation on the part of these sites to generate clicks.
Farabee and Frost may very well be the subject of discussions between Briere and other teams, it would be malfeasance on the part of Briere not to take calls on them. But even that is just speculation, just like all those articles.
The only fact is Laughton was getting offers and Briere turned them down.

Or they have decided against making trades and it’s not an actual rebuild …or at least what a traditional rebuild looks like. |

Diplomatically put and well explained. It won't matter though, he is incapable of learning. Again yesterday, he posted that Konecny should only get 7 years because the Flyers are the only team that can offer him 8 years. Even though that has been explained to him numerous times on how that is wrong. It's just daily stupidity.

They aren't looking to trade Laughton. Plain and simple.
Guys like Seeler, Laughts, TK, Hathaway... they are "pros" and "Flyers" and will be counted on to transmit the culture forward. That's priority #1. |

well GH already re-upped. Next summer they will re-up RP, Cates, and Laughton. That will be some funny ass stuff.
So of those 4 who do you see gone by next summer? |
