Veleno should cap out at $1.5M AAV max for 2 to 3 years. Berggren should get $1M to $1.25M AAV max for 1 to 2 years and give him a chance to blossom in the NHL.

Seider should command $8.5M to $9M AAV on a 6 year deal. Raymond on a 4 year deal worth $7.5M AAV.

If they offer Berggren a 2 way contract, he should ask to be traded. Veleno could slip into Copp's spot perhaps. Maybe Copp can find a new home.

I don’t think Berggren will be waiver exempt even on a 2 way. That’s part of why I’m looking at possible deals. Robertson wants out of Toronto etc. if you can get Copp moved they’ll build you a statue

On Puckpedia where people can post their upgraded rosters (some are hilarious) with trades one Dallas fan traded a 7th round pick to the Wings for Petry. I kept thinking, i'll take some days off work and drive Petry there for a 7th round pick.

One Shark fan had the Wings trading Husso to them for future considerations. I'm sure plenty here would be happy with that.

One Flyers fan had the Wings trading Seider to the Flyers for Konecny, Ristolainen, Oliver Bonk and the Oilers 1st round pick in 2025...talk about a garbage trade for the Wings.

Ya know, Holl and Berggren for Risto might work. Flyers are looking for cap relief.

Maybe the Byfield contract is a good comparable for Raymond.
6.25M x 5 would be a great salary for Rayzor!

I like Velenos work ethic, but still on the fence with his overall value...not sure if the deployment has a part in that but I'm guessing 2 yr at 1.5 - 1.75 per.... JB I feel has more upside but his lack of deployment in the NHL has to be considered, again a 2 yr perhaps at 1 mil.... Id love Mo to sign an 8 at 8.5 but have to wonder if his camp is looking at cashing in, which is his right...tough call.... Razor, in my opinion, won't be getting term from Yzerman.... he came in as a rookie and showed he could play, he repressed as a sophomore and was pushed around and looked like his confidence fell off... that said, he got stronger and challenged himself and was excellent last season which showed commitment and serious work ethic to hone his craft and I was impressed with a young player not willing to accept his second year and instead put more work in.... I say 4 yr at 7....... and Jeremy I agree, you get Copp moved and I'll help construct that statue...

At this point, Detroit should just trade Seider and Raymond to Chicago straight up for Bedard and Levshunov. Who knows if those guys will pan out so it would be in Chicago's best interest to get two guaranteed 1st line players.

Correct. 2 way deals have nothing to do with waiver status. Still not sure why this is the opinion of Copp…

For me, and only for me, it’s a souring on expectation that seemed to have been repeated with Compher. Copp had interest, Detroit got him signed, he gets in and is now a backchecking winger more than a center. He and Compher are very good together on the PK, but at a combined 10m+ I just personally (on me, not anyone else) feel like the hoped for result hasn’t held up. It sounds terrible because part of it is the $. I’ve not done well at all being objective. That 2nd top 6 center continues to elude the team and I ended up dumping that on Copp. Not a great look for me, for sure.
