Silovs had no rights, no leverage, and signing for less than $1M was highly anticipated.

As for his future...not sure the track record here on goalies is that great. Jack Campbell never made an appearance in the playoffs. Sorokin took a step back. Kuemper has a Cup while MAF lost his job again. So if Silovs looks promising here then he's probably a bust.
