Agreed, the last thing I want to see is our elite goal scorer breaking a foot or a hand getting in the way of the goalie making a save.

I think you could be right here. If Torts goes nuclear again this season the team could very well turn on him. Based on the reports last season he even figured out he overplayed his hand and the team was pissed.

He seemed to deal with adversity from his Russian coach and the lack of ice time and demotion very well. He seems to use it as motivation to excel. If that’s his makeup, he’s gonna show Torts where to stick it by elevating his impact.

By all means be a tough coach but be honest and fair. If you’re going to sit a player call him into the office and tell them.
The Torts plan that he won’t go to a player and talk to them is a douche move.
Be a leader as a coach not some high school gym/drama club coach.

Could this be a repeat of bad russian goalie decisions by the flyers?

Remember when they chose bryz over Bob? I know that we all do....
Well now they are choosing/chose fedotov over kolosov.

I honestly don't know enough about either player to say with certainty who is the better player but maybe one of you have followed them better.
