I'll start today.

Management is cluessless.
The coach is a bully.
Our scouts can't identify talent.
We screwed the pooch on signing Gautheir.
Kolosov was abandoned.
The Earth is flat.

Please discuss.

Number one is not in doubt. They had six assets to help the rebuild along - they resigned four, refused to trade one, and traded one

I think hello it’s me said this in the previous post - so I stole it

ESPN+ is AWESOME....THOUSANDS OF GAMES A YEAR!

Well...technically the team you follow you only get 15 games, but it's so awesome. NHL is making it better every year by adding more channels!

All you need now is ESPN+, TNT, ESPN, ESPN44, weekend games on odd months are on Cartoon Network, rival games now showing on Oxygen, all games on January 25 will be shown on BET.

I am so excited, if I subscribe to 27 services I get 80 out of 82 games...I love you NHL!

I don’t miss many with ESPN but I do have to go out more often than I’d like if there is a blackout. Living in Michigan, the home games against the red wings are automatic.

Why not stream the games? Smart TV’s or fire sticks give you a lot of flexibility.

I’m in Jacksonville, could probably watch 70-75 games, but I choose not to. The product isn’t worth my time most nights.

I watch them a little less than I used to but still catch 90%+ of the games. They haven't change anything in 40+ years. Why would they change if I stop watching now?

Signs abound that Flyers rebuild might not have to last much
longer
...
In fact, part of the reason Briere may have been hesitant to make
any big moves now is because Michkov has arrived. Briere reminded everyone of how important he views the renewed culture in Wednesday’s presser, and that’s now especially true with a young, non-English-speaking Michkov in the room. And make no mistake, there was some truth behind Briere’s joking that Nic Deslauriers is Michkov’s “new best friend.”Yes, Deslauriers will be in the lineup more than not next season, particularly early on as Michkov gets his feet wet. Sorry, analytics staff, your input here won’t be necessary
...
But it’s important to keep in mind that the path back to contention for any rebuilding team is never linear. Just look two hours north to Manhattan at the New York Rangers, who sent their infamous letter to season ticket holders announcing a rebuild in Feb. 2018 and a little more than a year later saw Artemi Panarin fall into their laps. Who’s to say something similar won’t happen with the Flyers should, say, Leon Draisaitl become available next summer? If Farabee and Laughton are moved for futures before the 2025 deadline, for example, that would all of a sudden give the Flyers an extra $8 million in cap space to play with for next summer. Briere will have to find an established, elite-level player, preferably a center, either through a trade or free agency. It might not happen before the end of this upcoming season.

----------------

Just shows that nobody believes that Briere was "just joking" on ND and the stage is being set for "go time". It also echo's that the Flyers will try to get their elite talent through FA instead of the draft so it will be interesting to see what happens with those draft picks.

I complain because I’m angry. Something I loved for a very long time has been horribly mismanaged for over a decade with no end in sight.

For those who say they stick with the team through good and bad, well, so did I. I was season ticket holder during the 89-94 dark years and I probably missed all of 10 games during those seasons. I watched or attended nearly every game during 06-07 as well. And, going way back as a teen, I never lost faith during the rough patch from 80-84.

But during those times, I had hope. I had faith that they would right the ship. Now I just don’t. The current management team seems just as inept as the last one and there is no Ed Snider to hold anyone accountable. Trying to act like the current regime is a new one is also quite disingenuous. Briere worked under Fletcher as did Flahr, Fletcher also hired Torts. Jones has been on the payroll forever as has Hanrahan and Lappy keeps on rolling even though few, if any, impact players have been developed under his stewardship.

Sorry, if you want to believe in Briere and company, that’s certainly your right, but other than Michkov falling into their lap, they haven’t done squat in my book. Bring in new ownership or even a competent PoHO and GM and I’ll start watching again. Until then, unless they are playing a top team with players I want to see, I’m not going to waste my time.

They are not going to be able to get a #1 center in free agency. I think Briere knows that by now. Everything comes down to the 2025 draft.

They could overpay for a Bennett, Florida would have to have a down year or Flyers made a deal they can’t refuse. Bennett is not a #1, but in trade I see the Flyers rationalizing it, ugh.

Did get a little excited thinking about a healthy Drysdale, a better Frost and MM, tossing the puck around, can they win a cup with that, lol.

No offense but I feel like there is a lot wrong with this post starting with “ there is no Ed Snider to hold anyone accountable”. There is a lot of complaining about the country club in here and I feel like the country club started with Ed Snider. Snider would probably enjoy the idea of bringing back the culture. Snider seemed to want tough, hard hitting hockey.

I personally am not going to give this organization the power of controlling my mood. I just like hockey. Do I want win? Of course. Do I question Danny Briere and Keith Jones? This offseason I have to because I thought last year’s offseason was pretty good. With this said, I’m not going to get angry over it. This is where we are right now and prior to ten years ago, I feel like I was pretty spoiled.
