Well since Ek posted this, you can be sure the Hawks are not getting Laine.

But there aren’t many laughs. I come here hoping someone will rail against the GREED of the players making millions and the STOOPID fans who finance that GREED buying tickets and merch. The audacity of these players wanting to be paid market value for having skill sets that put them at the top of their profession. They and everyone else should get the same guaranteed income. It’s all STOOPID and INSANE and it needs to STOP. Sports and the whole country are being RUINED.

Flyers fans are blessed with Metzer. He rarely misses a day and actually apologizes if he does. The effort level is amazing

Laine would be an interesting pick up for the hawks. The question is do you get the offense star or the beer league head case.

CBJ would need to retain and/or take back salary for this to work.

Before even thinking about this would want TT to reach out to talk to Laine to find out how he is doing (seeing as the team cannot talk to him directly). If his head is on straight could work.

AA + 3rd for Laine 25% retained ($6.525 cap hit) $2.2 mil salary difference.

Do not think there is a chance this happens or that the hawks are even contemplating this move, but interesting thought exercise.

Just parody. Market forces determine what they get paid. If you can do something at an elite level then people are going to throw money at you. I’m good with that.
