Flyers. They have nothing of note on their roster.

Great minds think alike, Philly was my first choice and he would look good in orange!

San Jose would be a perfect spot as well. Lots of room to grow there and what a beautiful landing spot outside of Nashville.
and of course the Toronto Maple Leafs need their "Potvin". What I know about Askarov is that he is a motivator and could maybe get through to the core group and keep them going with his play!

The problem with Philly is they have two goalies under contract past this year.

I would love for the Sens to pick him up but they can't do anything until Ullman makes his mind up.

In a 3 way trade he ends up on the Leafs along with Sergachev and Keller…..Marner out.

Flyers have many promising goalies already. Why spend assets on an area of current strength when they are desperate for a young center with potential? Not sure how Philly is a fit here.

Askarov has three total NHL career games. If a contending core needs a rookie to "motivate" them, they are already doomed.

define promising? they have nothing but huge question marks. how it is a strength?

I get not spending assets at this time on a goalie. it is still a need.

showing signs of future success or achievement. This is a position of strength in the org at this time while being in a rebuild. If there is doubt their current goalies will not succeed I would rather wait. There is no pressure to win right now.

Like who?

Fedotov has played two NHL games and is 28 years old.
Everyone is worried Kolosov wont come over
Ersson is the starter and he is not an elite goalie. Could maybe be a good starter at best.

I'm intrigued. Keller had 7 more goals last season than Marner and more goals over the last three seasons than Marner, is younger and a center, Marner a wing. Marner is on an expiring contract and Keller is cost controlled for the next 4 seasons at 7.15M. Why would Utah rather have Marner than Keller and how does Toronto end up with Keller, Sergachev and Askarov while giving up Marner? I'm guessing most GM's wouldn't trade Keller for Marner straight up and none of them would want Marner at whatever ridiculous salary he now thinks he's worth over Keller at 7.15M

Agree with you on the premise, however one correction I would add is that Keller has never played center with any regularity in the NHL.

That's a fair point although he's played it a bit more than Marner.

Liked this guy , thought the Blackhawks were going to draft him, Maybe they can ship Drew Commesso and there #1 pick in 2025. I doubt the Preds will trade him in there own division

Why would the hawks give up a #1, makes zero sense.

LA could use him. Just not sure how they could swing a deal for him.

lol what promising goalies do the Flyers have? Askarov is a top 3 goalie prospect. Your Flyers having nothing near that. Don’t be delusional

Lol, for that haul you’d be looking at Marner (extension determined pre-trade) + Knies + Easton + Nick Robertson + Hildeby + multiple firsts lol.

I know you were being cheeky, just got me thinking what kind of massive amount of assets Toronto would have to put together considering how very few High Quality ones they have.
