All skill, no will, but I hope he can figure it out. It's hard to be a perimeter player who can't take a hit, but he has a lot of skill. Seems like Josh Ho-Sang without the ego issues though. Here's hoping

Last I saw he was something like 5'9 and 160lbs. That weight is basically a non-starter in the NHL.

There is one guy in the NHL who weighs less than 160 and has played more than 100 games over the past 3 seasons - Yamamoto, who is presently unsigned. The only other guys in that same weight category (155-169) are Gaudreau, Garland and Spurgeon. Garland has some feistiness to his game, but overall is still not particularly physical when he's not picking his spots. It's a hard game to be that small in.

If he turns out to be an AHL lifer, that's still a decent pick. Gambling on skill is hit/miss and it's still not a miss yet. It does suck that the guys who play a similar game style can be counted on one hand and all are more or less elite.

You and me we’ll bloom in the sun
We’ll lift our tongues
And swallow the whole sky whole
When we wake we’re covered in dew drops
Lying on cool rocks
Watching the day drift on

Looks great. If you are ever coming into Mississauga, go to Masamune on Dixie. Great place.

Space Battleship Yamato, commonly known as Star Blazers to young nerds in the early 1980s, was a favourite of mine when I was a child:

Not sure yet all the particulars, but sounds like Yaroslav Askarov is being traded from Nashville to San Jose
