The Larkin line gave the Hawks fits, as they should have in a preseason game.
I liked Kasper's game, really good on the PK.
Petry's SLAPPER tied the game after a diving play by Mazur that set him up for a shot that Mrazek was screened on by several players.
Raymond made good on his snipe after being left all alone in in front from about 20 feet out when Donato fell.
Gus's fumbles were far more serious than Holl's. He was good in the O-zone though, getting an assist.
There was a lot of positive things to take away from this game and a big one being that the team started on time and had a lot of early pressure on the Hawks and resulted in an early goal.

Holl wasn’t a fumbler as much as it looked like he just didn’t want the puck. Just cringy to watch him play it. The Mazur diving pass to Petry was an impressive effort, it mirrored a goal he grabbed in the Red and White game. Just that “no quit” type of play. Gus was a disaster. Both goals against saw dmen that couldn’t handle their assignment. There were a lot of positives, remembering that this is a seriously diminished ‘Hawks team. I loved the Larkin line at times, Mrazek kept getting stronger until the tying goal. Neither Gus nor Holl inspired confidence defensively. But, and I emphasized this, this was the first preseason game. Husso started out well, but the second (though completely let down by his D) seemed to see him just deflate. He hasn’t played a game since February so it’s not a huge deal. A fun watch, but obviously just an early deployment. Was impressed with Kasper’s D play. Looking forward to Friday. *you’re right, Petry’s goal was a slapshot. I mislabeled it. I try to make sure the clips are there but I didn’t write it or see it correctly.
