There's really no chance that Honzek makes the team. He still has a bunch of stuff to work on. As long as he has the right attitude, some time in the AHL would do him some good. If he's lighting it up, take the same path as Zary or Stankoven did last year.
It would be idiotic to try and send Pelletier down. They're not supposed to be contending, so there's really no reason not to push him hard for two-three months to see if he's actually a bust. With all the complaining the fanbase has done about asset management, how is trying to send him down even a option?
There's been a lot of overreacting to the preseason as usual. We see young players look like stars all the time, and more often than not, they wilt once veterans start caring about games. Kobasew was a preseason star, Jankowski was one of the the best preseason players in the league the one year, even last year, Coronato was routinely the best player on the ice during the preseason. Preseason games are meaningless.

I have a Kobasew signed jersey, kid played for the Rockets and is from.my hometown of Osoyoos. I wish Pelts could become 1/2 as good as him.
