Do they practice as bad as they play?

I can't imagine they sit a healthy Luchanko a 3rd game in a row. All this time in the press box helps nobody except the Flyers PR dept who can keep saying how great it is that the Flyers have the youngest player in the league on their roster.

This whole thing, with not only how he made the roster but also his play showing he's not ready to how the team is now treating him, is an embarrassment.

Any insight as to what you think happens with Kolosov?

Word on the street The Room™ is going to hold a players-only meeting to discuss why the team is not displaying the culture of the locker room on the ice. The Room™ is not upset with the W/L record per se, but he is quite pissed that the culture he oozes through his veins is not displayed on the ice by the team he is the ALTERNATE Captain of

Kid should have already been sent down by now. Ridiculous just letting him sit in the rafters.

Neither Cam York nor Travis Konecny practiced on Friday. Defense pairs rotated. Forward combinations were as follows:

Brink-Couturier-Michkov
Tippett-Frost-Hathaway
Laughton-Poehling-Foerster
Deslauriers-Cates-Farabee
Luchanko (extra)

Is anyone asking what the hell these people are thinking handling a player they just drafted like this?

Is there an interna struggle as what to do with the Jett? Seems pretty simple what they need to do.

Putting the lines in a blender is the only thing Torts can think of to get his team scoring. Now wonder they are 29th in goals per game.

If you are the flyers do you :

A. Admit your mistake, do right by the prospect, and send him down immediately.
B. Wait until the team has played 9 games and send him down saying you gave him the 9 game trial but you didn't want to burn a year.
C. We are the F'n flyers, nobody tells us what to do.

Just looking at the schedule, games 8-15, the Flyers might not win any of these games, except maybe against Montreal. This season could be over very quickly if the Flyers don't turn things around quickly.

There must be a power struggle going on between Briere and Tortorella right now and this kid is the pawn. It’s the only thing that could make any sense.

Tortorella has bullied Briere since he was the interim GM much to the detriment of his standing in the league. This could end up being very very ugly.

Listen, this is a coach who publicly said before the season even started that he had an epiphany over the summer that the team needs to score more dirty and gritty goals. In the pre game interview before the second Washington game. He said he doesn't care about the offense that he is only concerned about defensive tracking.

The 9 games is not team games. It's games played by Luchanko.

All the Flyers have to do is win a few games and you'll say the Flyers will be right back in it.

Do you recall before the season started that you claimed the Flyers were better than Washington?

Statistically speaking even the worst teams in the NHL win 1 of 4 games so the odds of them losing 14 in a row are slim (but not impossible!). I do feel MON might be their second win of the season if they start Ersson.

Also, I know we can be negative on this forum but, people are already posting next year draft articles. That's kind of cold.

Depending on your opinion of Jett Luchanko, you can argue that the Flyers do not have a blue-chip center prospect, just as they lack one on either side of the defense.

I know, I just meant they could spin it that way for PR purposes to save face as it doesn't look like he's going to play 9 games.

They could've had a bluechip defense prospect. In fact right now they could have a young player nucleus of Michkov, Gauthier and Buium to be excited about.

not sure they even know keeping the kid up and not playing is a mistake lol.

If there is an internal debate w Torts and DB then Danny needs to grow a set of stones.

That's the issue. A coach should certainly have input but there shouldn't be any debate. There should be a clear hierarchy in place but with the Flyers. There isn't. It's flawed from conception.

Jett will be a fine 3C. If he hits right and can develop an offensive game I think he tops out at a 2C. So they still need to find that true 1C to play MM39. And then we just passed up a chance to draft a potential 1D in Zeev.

But hey, we have all these picks in the next draft!
