Another possibility is moving out winger Nick Robertson. The 23-year-old stepped back into the Leafs lineup after sitting against Winnipeg on Monday, and had one shot on goal in 11:36 playing on the fourth line. - mikeinbuffalo
I didn't see much of last night's game due to Hallowe'en duties and a power outage, but according to the Athletic, Robertson got bumped up to the 3rd line midway through the 1st period. |

I saw parts of it. Robertson looked decent to be honest.
I think he lacks confidence. It would not be a shock to see him go elsewhere and be productive. |

I think it was mentioned with a particular quote, but Robertson looks like he's trying really hard, but that effort doesn't translate into results.
He forechecks really hard, but he doesn't retrieve pucks
He's blazing fast, but with his speed he doesn't create plays
He gets shots off quickly, but they're rarely high danger chances
He just doesn't look like he can get past the opposition out there |

I think CC could elaborate on what he saw more than I would - I would say that Robertson started on the 4th line and for the first part of the first period he was playing in straight lines relatively effectively. By the later part of the period, he was more all over the ice - and what I call "Family Circus" routes all over. CC noted that he was losing a lot of the blue line battles which was bad. I think it was even before the end of the 1st, they had made the switch to move Holmberg down and Robertson up.
He may have been bumped up strictly because Holmberg is a better fit on the 4th and Robertson was a better fit on the 3rd. Robertson with Domi and McMann were pretty decent together.

I wish I could remember who my late father in law was referring to (I think maybe Dmititri Kristich?), but his line was, "Have you ever seen a guy work so hard, just to achieve so little?" |

That's easy. It was Stu Gavin. My neighbor growing up said the exact same thing. |

I just think that the kinds of mistakes that he was making: failures to get pucks out of the D zone and turning pucks over in the neutral zone or the Kraken blueline are the things that drive Berube crazy. He’s not creating enough offence and can’t crack the top six to offset these issues |

Sold some trinitite specimens to a guy in Toronto today.
Collectible radioactive waste on it's way up north.
Give some to Robertson and maybe it will unlock his hidden superpowers.

New collection of specimens from the Trinity site is banned. This stuff was collected before the ban and has been floating around on the market since the 1950's.
