Ty, I've said it before...not that I'm currently thrilled with Monty, the one who absolutely has to go is Sacco. Special teams are his supposed responsibility and they are both atrocious right now.

So let's see, Poitras is the problem...send him down to Providence. Not that I really have a problem with this...the time in the AHL should do him well but he is NOT the problem. At least McAvoy has been pulled from the #1 PP unit and replaced by Lindholm. I'm with Ty on Lindholm...he has been playing closer to his 22/23 season which is a good thing. Demote the worthless McAvoy to third pairing minutes. He is one of the most overrated players on the roster. Trade Frederic now while you can get something in return...2nd round pick?

Poitras playing on different lines in different position just about every game is not going to help a 20 year old develop into a top 6 forward. Sometime in Providence will be helpful to him.

It's time to scratch Zadorov. He's a (frank)ing trainwreck. The Bruins run a system and he's a virus right now.

The Bruins gave us some great regular seasons over the past decade, it's normal things go downhill a bit.

I like the depth at center but i know there is not an elite superstar at that position.

The depth at wings is concerning. Is Geeker really a 1st line player ?

Frederic, Brazeau, Johnson ??, Beecher, Koepke are jersey filler unfortunately and won't be difference maker.

This team has the talent to compete for a player spot but expectations should not be higher than a first round maybe.

Now, does the management has the courage to make a surprise big deal ?

Geekie Brazeau and Coyle in your top 6 are problems. Beecher and Koepke are 4th liners and good ones at that.

Four more games. Once we hit the 25% mark of the season and we are still on a slide or haven't righted the ship, I think that is when some decisions need to be made.

You can start with Sacco. He clearly isn't effective. Having said that, Sweeney will probably fire Monty and promote Sacco to interim. I can see that happening.

Long game, if the Bruins miss the playoffs you clean it all out except for Essensa. That dude needs a raise.

I'm willing to be you're either right on or damned close. Also yeah, Essensa is great.

I agree with Ty in that the Bruins should come out and publicly state that Monty isn't going anywhere this year. He has been nothing but good for the Bruins so give him a chance to right the ship.

Swayman put a dark gloom over this team in pre-season and now the same is happening with this fire Montgomery BS.

I kinda do hope they miss the playoffs. Squeaking in and losing in round 1 is just a waste of a season.

Miss the playoffs and clean house - start with a clean slate.

If they let Sacco take the reigns for the remainder of the season there is a good chance they miss. We will see I guess. I am getting tired of these blender lines. Throwing anything at the wall to see if something sticks can be useful every once and a while. But EVERY GAME? Ugh

Sorry, but Monty isn't all that. There are plenty of things wrong with this team and many can be attributed to coaching.

I don’t remember the last time the Bruins were this bad on both sides of special teams.

Nice to get the win - but - seriously they need to fire the special teams coach(s).

Well, we can't completely ignore that there really isn't a whole lot of talent on this team.

part is that they're a victim of their own success, trading #1 pics to make that push at the end of the year, and mediocre drafting has caught up with them.
Great win last night, I had completely given up on them. down 2 going into the third??

mediocre - or even bad - teams can kill penalties.

Bruins let in a LOT of PPGs. Way too many. They are in the bottom 25% with a PK of 73.6%. Worse than Buffalo, Montreal, Chicago. It's not like those teams are overflowing with talent.

By the way, Bruins are LAST in the NHL for PPG. LAST

That is unacceptable.
The special teams coaches need to be replaced asap.

But you guys have always found a way to play correctly no matter the talent level, or injuries or what have you. It's like the the character of the team has finally checked out. And now you're just a mediocre team of mediocre players. Something has to give. A trade or something. I wouldn't fire the coach.

Trading a player will not make a significant difference - who can the Bruins trade for a player that will have a real impact?

What needs to happen is - get rid of management - they are responsible for the state of the team.

Since that is unlikely to happen until they miss the playoffs, coaching will be the target.

But I'd start with special teams coach(es) since that is a glaring weakness. If season continues as-is then Monty might block.

100% this. Its the entire front office and several players need to get the old yeller.
