Some "insider" posted that Larkin has requested a trade. Don't know if he actually has any connections or he's just trolling for clicks.

BREAKING: Per insider sources, Detroit Red Wings captain has requested a trade. The veteran forward, who has been with the team for over a decade, is reportedly unhappy with his tenure in Detroit due to years of losing and is seeking a fresh start with a contender. #RedWings

Yeah, I just had the same news to report as above^^^^^^^^^^^^
But I have the link:

I do not know how credible this is, but I surely do not blame him if true.
Toronto, Nashville, the Avs, Boston and the Wild are all looking for 2nd line centers.
Toronto and the Wild have a lot that Detroit could use.

I haven’t heard, and the few people I know that would know for sure wouldn’t comment on that one

Just an overall. If there’s anything to this it may have a bad room in even worse shape. It’ll get flushed out but I have no clue

If true then the Wings will truly be rebuilding again because they won't get a top end center for Larkin back. Most likely prospects and picks with a player or two to make the cap work. Also if Larkin goes, a bunch of the vets should be following him out the door although they should be trying to do that anyways.

I wonder if this would push Yzerman to pull the plug on Fester really soon.

I think we have to wait and see if anyone notable confirms this or if Larkin/team come out and shoot it down. I do hope they’re looking at doing something. This is awful

For what it’s worth being said to be completely false

That's not the guy that posted the rumor though unless the other guy went off this guy's claim.

Apparently some were saying that this was started by a Sens fan (might be this guy) to prove that BS rumors can be spread fast just like it did with Tkachuk this week when the New York Post said Tkachuk was the Rangers top trade target.

I got the link from one of the people over at PHR. There were several threads and that was an example of one of the responses of people saying it’s not true

Side note, man i would love a Tkachuk. Awful to play against but love him on your team. Hoping Larkin skates a little with the brothers at 4 nations

Yeah, true power forwards are pretty rare now. A lot of guys don't have everything that makes a true power forward these days...the size, the scoring, the physicality and toughness.

Many times, there's a kernel of truth to a rumor. I'd say this is some BS thing someone put out to stir the pot.

Now, if the team/player WERE looking at such a move, it would be earth-shattering for sure. This team (including coaching staff & senior leadership....) need to be slapped to reality. I see a few minor moves before the TDL, but as has been outlined here; we don't have the TRUE assets to swing for the fences.......
