Seriously, how can you misspell his name? Do you do it intentionally? He’s the subject of your post, the least you could do is spell his name right. |

Still cant believe Flyers passed on Perreault to take Bonk...Could have had Caufield, Perrault ,Gauthier and Biuim. |

For one I can't believe Carson Bjarnason did not make the team, that one is a hed scratcher. And then Jett playing on the 3rd line actually, just didn't get a lot of chances until late in the game when Canada got a big lead. I would have liked to see what Luchanko could do playing up in the lineup. Bonk looked good on the second pairing and on the PP. I am really impressed with his poise with the puck. Bummer Jack Berlund got hurt and is out of the series. |

Hmm .. but Gauthier didn't want to play for the Flyers. And is Caufield really that good that you are still lamenting the 2019 draft? Perrault hasn't played a pro game yet, neither has Biuim, yet you already know they will both be better than Bonk and Luchanko? Based on what exactly? A prospect ranking by part time hockey analysts? |

Hmmm..Gauthier did want to play for the Flyers and was ready to sign. The Flyers said no and royally screwed up.
Based on projections. A player doesn't have to play a pro game to have a potential grade. You routinely give an opinion on Flyers prospects who haven't played a pro game. Why don't you hold yourself to the same standard that you hold others to? |

That isnt true. You have no proof of this. Nobody does.
Love how the Flyers screwed up by not allegedly guaranteeing Gauthier a position on the team last season despite the fact he barely looks NHL ready this season after an extra year of development then at the same time the Flyers royaly screwed up by letting Luchenko make the team for a few weeks. Nobody had any issues with Luchenko going back to juniors but Gauthier going back to college is some how a Colossal mistake.
Not to mention that sending players back to College and juniors is common. Gauthier may not have agreed with it and thats his right but if not getting signed and being guaranteed a spot on the roster is his reason for bailing on the flyers, that is childish and unprofessional. There is no defending how Gauthier acted. He would pretty much be taking his ball and went home because he didnt get what he wanted.
Kolosov handled his situation more maturely, That is how things should be handled. You work with the team and you compromise. He didnt just demand a trade because the Flyers wanted him in Allen Town. You can fault the Flyers for a lot of things but the Gauthier situation is not one of them.
Gauthier didnt even show up for rookie camp to prove he belonged. He made absolutely no attempt to be on this team. |

Gauthier put them in a tough spot that they handled poorly and then yes they were extremely foolish with Luchanko. Many of us mentioned him getting a slow start in junior and now he’s the fourth line center for team Canada, it played out exactly how folks thought it would. There is no defending this organization. |

my guess is you have not seen one full game of Cutter playing this year.
As far as Kolosov, the flyers buckled and called him up before the deadline he established for him to go back to russia.
it is also ok to say the flyers screwed up the Cutter situation. really it is. no need to defend every move this organization makes. |

Potential grades mean poop, they are an educated guess. What was Tyler Johnson draft grade?

My impression is that Cutter was promised, by CF, that he would be signed and it didn’t occur to Danny and Jonsey that he’d just walk when they didn’t. My guess is that Danny and Jonsey handled it like buffoons so Cutter’s side decided they’d just rather deal with professionals and shut it down. It sucks that a draft pick can do this and it sucks that Drysdale has been so disappointing, but it was what it is. If they wanted to keep Cutter it was simple enough to do. |

Yes, it is true. You just continue to be ignorant of the reported facts by highly reputable sources.
- xShoot4WarAmpsx
Not guaranteeing Gauthier a position on the team last season, was never reported. Never reported that Gauthier was asking that nor is it how the Flyers screwed up. Again, showing you have a lack of grasp on the reported facts. I'll make another futile attempt to explain what actually happened to you. At the end of Gauthier's NCAA season in 2023. He or his agent approached the Flyers and wanted to sign for the tail end of the NHL season and burn off the first year of his ELC. The Flyers said no. When the Flyers went back to Gauthier later in the year, looking to sign him for the 23/24 NHL season. Gauthier and or his agent informed the Flyers that he no longer wanted to play for them. All the Flyers had to do was what every other team in the league has done for the same situation with a high ranked NCAA player. Sign him burn off the year and Gauthier would be a Flyer today.
- xShoot4WarAmpsx
Other players going back to College is irrelevant. That was not Gauthier's choice at the end of his 22/23 season. Again, he did not ask for a guaranteed future roster spot. You're contradicting yourself. Stating that it's his right to do what he did and then you say there is no defending how Gauthier acted. If it's his right, than that is a defense. You aren't making sense. Players all the time "take their ball and go home" when it is in their rights to do so.
Kolosov handled his situation more maturely, That is how things should be handled. You work with the team and you compromise. He didnt just demand a trade because the Flyers wanted him in Allen Town. You can fault the Flyers for a lot of things but the Gauthier situation is not one of them.

What Kolosiv did is irrelevant to the Gauthier situation and not the same situation.
Your statement that Gauthier made absolutely no attempt to be on this team is factually incorrect. We know for a fact that the Gauthier camp was completely willing and ready to sign with the Flyers after his NCAA season ended in 23. You're 100% incorrect.
It was a complete screw up by an incompetent management group |

The Flyers are 100% to blame for Gauthier not signing here.
There are some major differences...Jett just turned 17, Gauthier was 19. Jett was just drafted, and hasn't gone back to school or juniors. Gauthier did play college for the year after being drafted, on what appears to be a promise to sign at the end of his college hockey to burn his first year. Briere balked at it, and 2 months later when Gauthier had played on Team USA with current NHL players and led them all in goal scoring, Briere tried to throw a contract at him. The damage was already done....the mistake is on Briere. Gauthier wanted out.
You keep saying there is no proof, but what proof do you have to discount it? Why did all this happen? The events are there and the timeline fits. So why did Gauthier want out? Because he is a Penguins fan? Because he is childish? That sounds like a lot more of a reach than the contract issue. It really doesn't matter and never did, he wouldn't sign here and that is the end of it.
The Flyers did fail with the return, and their smear campaign was a gutless move that made them look bad in my eyes.
So yeah, please enlighten me as to what happened if it wasn't a contract dispute. |

Gauthier was such a poor pick. What a POS player, good riddance.
Thank goodness that glorious Flyer scouting department gets to avoid accountability yet again.
