Chiarot & Holl for another year? Yikes. I guess that gives ASP & Wally a chance to get their games set up under the new schemes. IF there's any good out of those 2 is the cap will increase again (who knows how much, but an increase is an increase...) so if we retain a bit, they might be more palatable, but like H2 said the other day: Gonna need a sweetener, and I'm not sure it'd be worth dumping someone. Reckon it depends on who'd be coming back....

The games are played with more cohesiveness, defense was Mac's focus and it shows. Kids are having fun, it's not a daily beat-down, we have a chance.... a real chance.... each game. You can hear more yelling on-ice, whether it's us or not, you can argue, since Mac's arrival. This team is just feelin' it. It's not going to last forever of course, but this shows that the team was actually better than they were playing. That's no surprise to most of us on here, we figured a better coach would get better results.

I'd see about moving a few guys at the TDL, but knowing that 2 years from now we'll lose some contractual anchors and have a couple of kids ready to jump makes not making a boat-load of moves for now.

I think if ASP can outplay Holl, as long as there’s not a no movement that 1m cap relief covers the hit and Holl can head to GR. It’s been a lot more fun to be sure. There are a few other issues that have me concerned about revenues etc but that’s another discussion completely. If you can move a piece at the deadline go for it as long as it’s not the short list of players that will help in moving forward. We have a few prospects ticking the radar and some new complications with NCAA players. More on that very soon. We have prospects in Finland and Russia that would be fun to see challenge for jobs.

Paragraph 1:
Trade this guy, trade that guy - too many anchors

Paragraph 2:
Everyone knew this was an amazing team

Paragraph 3:
Optimism for future, anchors aren’t that big of a deal
