There are differing opinions as to what JT Miller is worth on this side, and if people even want to trade Miller. I'm for trading Miller, but the return is to make the Canucks better in the long run – which means getting younger and potential cap space.

Zib isn't as good a player as Miller, and has fallen off more so than Miller this year. Same age and 500k more on the contract. Plus, by all accounts, Zib doesn't want to come here so it's sort of moot (though I know you said in your first post clauses notwithstanding.)

I would try and package Miller with either Hoglander or Boeser to get a larger return. Build something around Chytil + K'Andre + 1st/Othmann, or try and make a bigger swing for Lafreniere if he's available and Boeser is going back.

While I can see a trade between the Rangers and Canucks going down, I don't think they're ideal partners.

So you blame Miller for that play...the guy just got around him with a 50 foot weak shot from the point that got through with a bad rebound by Demko doing the Luongo flop lol. Where was the Left D on that play Miller sucks right now yes but he was 50 feet away from the play

Miller is a 100 point player. Anything coming back to Van would need to include Schneider + +. Or it's a no go.

Miller gets easily stepped around, then didn't even try to recover, then let his guy spin to the blue line and didn't try to close him down or get in front of his weak shot. The D play was bad as was the rebound, but Fiala shouldn't have been able to get that shot off at all if Miller was playing properly. It all starts with Miller.

I know math is extremely hard for you, but team scoring isn't up this year, it's significantly down.

I was reading an article about JR & Allvin, they know they significantly missed the mark in the summer with their moves, or lack of. There's a good foundation of young players with Hughes, Pettersson, and probably Lekkerimaki but they need to send some guys packing. Hopefully they start with Miller and Boeser.

A re-tool/roster tweaks done right can go a long way. Canucks last year, Caps this year. Not easy or straightforward, but doable.

Honestly I'm a little surprised they haven't done at least something. Hopefully it's coming I guess we shall see cause the season is over as is and by that I mean zero chance at the cup. Maybe they squeak into the playoffs but who cares

It may have started with Miller however a weak wrist shot from the point do happen lol and a horrible rebound by Demko and D coverage literally speaks for itself there. But Miller is lacklustre to be sure but that play is nowhere near all on him.
