NOTE: Do not talk politics in the main blog. There’s a separate page for that. Keep it to hockey. No tariffs, no anthems, no Trump, no fishing, none of that.
I thought this statement from Sherwood was very telling...Miller, and his mental state, was clearly weighing heavily on the team.
“Probably there's just a sense of relief a little bit,” Sherwood said. “I think there was a lot that was probably hanging over the whole team for a long time. So definitely a spark"
I know York only wants to talk about hockey on here, LOL, but I gotta say, my wife made coffee this morning called 'Spirit Bear", damn son, the Eagle blend is a medium roast that is just killer good. I think it's from BC?

Moving Miller hasn't seemed to help Pouty, he actually looks worse since Miller has left

Coffee talk is permitted. Just politics and fishing aren't allowed

I think Myers' "Our room was really good tonight" was also pretty telling. Everyone can just breathe a little more relaxed, and come together as a group (finally). Hope it's not too late now

Trade his sorry ass, before he is worth nothing. - Reubenkincade
Sure, if it makes the team better I'm all for it. I care about the team first and foremost. Actually, I think they need to purge the room of Boeser, Demko and Petey, there's still some bad blood in there I believe.
I think Petey's knee if (frank)ed, I saw him turn last night and he favored the one knee. His turn looked awkward. Sell!!! - Pacificgem
It's an injury that needs rest more than anything. Hard to do in-season and when you're trying to train. I think we'll see a much better Petey next year (assuming the Canucks don't go on a big playoff run here)

I figured it wouldn't be long before his excuses started again. Just after getting outplayed by the newbie C. Trade him, get another decent center back plus much more, he won't be missed.

If they keep him, I agree, he'll be a much better player next season.
Agree. Just hope any trade is actually as good as the rumours. Another trade letdown would be rough and essentially guarantee Hughes’ departure. - bloatedmosquito
Then you keep the soft, overpaid and underperforming little b1tch.

A fresh start might also do him some good, free up his mind a bit. Columbus has a ton of cap space and they have five centers on their roster, four of them being young players (Sillinger/Johnson/Fantilli/Del Bel Belluz), Sean Monohan being the other.
Fantilli is untouchable imo, Johnson and DBB are playing on the wings but they can switch to center easily. Johnson is having a heckuva year and his skating is really good.
