I liked the idea that was floating around beginning of the season.Winner of the tournament get to pick one player of the opposing teams, and he is executed in front of everyone. Since that idea died I have been completely interested in the tournament.

It will be a Sister Act marathon for me.

Better than all star weekend.

It has better potential if it were prepared better, and I agree that if it was done in September, this would have been a great way to lead into the new season. I also feel that certain players became ineligible due to politics and that is not fair to them. Should have made a 5th team that represents any country outside of the first four. Now, one has to just hope their team's representatives don't get hurt and ruin any playoff hopes due to the timing.

If somebody gets hurt, it just hurts the playoff team chances to get to the Stanley cup.

The timing is stupid. So is the format. At the very least, have the two best teams play a best of 3. Like the old Canada Cup format. So a superior team at least has the opportunity to recover from a bad bounce, missed call, etc...

Seems like maximum risk for minimal gain from the leagues perspective. I'll watch some of it. If I were a fan of a contender, I'd really hate it.
